Yeah except he's not... Love and Kyrie are easily better fits in terms of offense. The biggest thing holding Miami back was they had to make a decision whether to have shooters or playmakers on the floor with Lebron. Kyrie and Love have both won the NBA three point contest. Both play at a position where deadly three point shooting isn't all that common. Either guard Lebron 1 on 1 or leave Love, Kyrie or Allen/Miller at the three point line. None of those options are going to be to appealing for defenses.

The worn down version of Wade was a bad fit with LeBron, and even the peak Wade had some difficulty sharing the floor with him, but Bosh was a perfect complement for LeBron. He's an elite mid range shooter, only Dirk and Steph Curry were better mid range shooters this past year, he was the main key to Miami being able to space the floor like they wanted. He also was a better shooter than Love from everywhere on the floor aside from 3 pointers. I expect Love to be a great fit with LeBron but Bosh was too.

Also, this Cavs team has the potential to be terrible on defense, it will be interesting to see what kind of schemes Blatt runs. A Love/LeBron/Miller/Allen/Irving lineup is stopping no one, but they're also not getting stopped by any other team.

It sounds especially bad coming from Charles Barkley. It's like he wants to pretend that his late career run in Houston never happened.

If you want to say Bosh shoots better midrange shooter that's fine but he not even close to being in the same league as Love from three. There's a big difference between having to guard a guy close 2-3 feet inside the three point line than 2-3 feet outide the three point line.

Re: Kevin Love Trade Scenario (Poll)

Can Bosh shoot the 3? Sure, but he's streaky. Can Love shoot the 3? Absolutely.
Can Bosh rebound? Eh, if he feels like it. Can Love rebound? Absolutely.

Are Wade's knees shot? Yep, pretty much. He will only play ~60 regular season games a year.

If I was Lebron, I'd rather play with a top tier point in Irving rather than a deteriorating Wade.

On top of that, all of Cleveland's draft picks with be essentially worthless. Unless someone comes out of no where, no one that will drastically change a franchise is going to be drafted in the last few picks of a draft.

Cleveland totally won in this trade. Anthony Bennett is a huge bust (so far) and Andrew Wiggins is unproven and isn't that polished offensively. Kevin Love is a double-double machine and a match up nightmare when you play him with Lebron and Kyrie.

Minnesota is actually a better situation for Wiggins. He can get more shots and be the top option pretty quickly.

Re: Kevin Love Trade Scenario (Poll)

Wiggins must be so bummed by this.

going from playing with LBJ on a team favored to win championships

playing with Minn down their best player where careers go to die

    That sucks for him...

Minnesota traded one year of Love's services for Andrew Wiggins entire rookie contact. There was zero chance that Love stays in Minnesota another year.

This. People act as if Wiggins is a sure thing, there's a huge ceiling athletically obviously but he's not a lock to be a top ten player by any means.

This is the best trade Minnesota was likely to get. Kevin Love was going to walk away after this season and Minnesota would get nothing. Wiggins is a great prospect. And Minnesota needs prospects.

It sounds like Love gave his word to sign an extension, though? No paper, just his handshake, right?

I really think both teams made a good move, but surprised so many saying one or the other made a huge mistake.

If Golden State's deal was HB, Klay Thompson and David Lee like some are saying...Minnesota is crazy for passing that up.

I think Wiggins will be a good pro. I guess the only positive with Bennett is he's only 21 so maybe over the next few years they can turn him into a player who can be productive

Tough call but LeBron had to make the trade.
