Not really. I for one don't want either of them back. You get some bad "cancer" like they were and you never know what can happen

I gave up on CPR as the honor before victory type long ago, so it wouldn't surprise me one bit if he let Rodney or David back on the team.

    Re: David Irving

Honor before victory until your job is on the line. ISU simply can't afford to be super squeeky clean and rigid with troubled players.

The only benefit is to be able to make fun of Iowa for having criminals when they are better than us at football. I'd rather just be better.

    What is your source?

Googled, but couldn't find anything. Did notice he passed over Akron when he signed with ISU last year, so it could make sense.

But I also noticed on 24/7 Sports that he was recruited by Curtis Bray. Now I am wondering how much of his behaviour might be traceable to a sideways reaction to Curtis's passing away? It would not be easy for a youngster to deal with losing his primary contact only 6 months after arriving on campus.

How many players have we kept with legal issues? You can act holier than art thou, but it's apparent our program will give second or third chances. I'll give second chances if it means more wins.

honor before victory as nice as it'd be, is just a sentimental plack at JTS.

Lol no. He's had multiple instances of immaturity before then.

When players become a cancer to your program you don't keep them based on how much the individual can help you team you get rid of them because of the damage that would be caused by showing the behavior would be tolerated.

Yeah, no thanks. I'll take the victory, I don't care about the ridiculous ideal of honor in sports.

Seriously, do you understand why programs use the phrase 'Honor Before Victory'? It's because they don't win much. Plain and simple.

Irving has moved back to Cali. I think he had to come back for a few days ago for some reason, at least thats what it looked like on twitter.

I feel like for a d-lineman to really affect win-loss totals you need to be talking about someone like N. Suh or Clowney.

There is nothing more powerful in football than interior disruption. Pressure through the middle of the pocket messes absolutely everything up.
