Re: Friday OT: Favorite movie/song scene

OMG, how could I forget Dusty Springfield, The Look of Love, from Casino Royale. Wow, what a great, moody, song. Whenever I hear it I'm immediately imagining some young couple getting affectionate in a 1960's London flat.

One of the moodiest songs ever. And probably a great choice for a wedding reception first dance.

No matter what, I could NEVER cheer for Dirt and Urine.

Thanks for reminding me of that one. Love that movie!! Great scene. Even the cheesy choreographed hitting fits in well.

Another amazingly moody song, an instrumental, from the Lovin' Spoonful. Used in the Coppolla movie, "You're a Big Boy Now" - which I've never seen, but boy I love this tune!

I'll also always associate "Hurricane" with the scene at the pool hall.

I always thought the mickey mouse club song at the end of Full Metal Jacket was apt.

I don't think so. But he always seemed at his Jon Cryer-est in Pretty In Pink.

I think Mike Tyson took over that song for me in the Hangover

Hoiberg: I have a unique situation here. I grew up here. I went to college here. My family is close and my wife's family is close. I know everyone in the community and my family is very comfortable here. My daughter has dreamed about one thing and that's going to Iowa State. The NBA is great and I love the NBA, but I love Iowa State and the opportunity I have here. We've really built something special and I think we've got real momentum to keep it going even more.
