7 is early for snowblowing? I'm already at work by then.

    Re: Mowing the Lawn

Mow after 9AM and before 9pm since it summer. I have a neighbor who is THAT GUY and mows every 3 days including one Saturday at 6:57AM & my kids sleep until 8:30-9 so I was really ****** when we were up at 7:30 that day. Oh and he is a Hawkeye, damn him

This makes me glad I don't live in town. I'll mow when I want to drink a couple beers, thank you.

Agree. Snowblowing is a different conversation.

Again, not in a neighborhood but snowblowing is different, IMO. That snow needs to be moved for people to get to work or whatever. The lawn can wait a couple hours.

The government could mandate everyone with a lot size of .20 acres or below to get an electric mower.....

    Re: Mowing the Lawn

If I am doing it on the weekend, usually do it at 7am so I can make the 844 tee time.

During the week I do it after work, before dinner

Kids and old people are up by 5am. It's the teenagers that keep the hours you're thinking of.

    Re: Mowing the Lawn

I will snow blow as early as 430, but i usually do at least one of my neighbors....she's older and tough for her. Then I drive over and do my moms and still can get to work by 630

Nobody cares about teenagers, lazy punks need to get out of bed.

You always have the most interesting topics.

My mow times are generally 10 to 8, but depends on the weather. Have done earlier and later than that at various times. Farmers say you got to make hay when the sun is shining....

One little pet peeve I have is mowing on Sunday. I try not to at all costs and prefer it be a quiet day. Now I have mowed myself on Sunday's and don't get mad at people when they do. Just wish it would not occur.

It's nice if you can be aware of your neighbors family situations, but agree with whoever said that when they had young kids it was a bigger hot button. The thought doesn't cross my mind much anymore and our next door neighbor does have a little one.

    Re: Mowing the Lawn

After shoveling/mowing since grade school...I loathe both.

So our yard is big enough I hire the mowing out (I don't want to crowd our garage with a riding lawnmower).

I happen to love snow-blowing however...anytime of the day or night, any temperature.

Drove by a neighbor Monday morning that was mowing his front yard. It was 6:30 AM. That seems kinda dickish to me.

I don't have a problem with snowblowing that early, it's just odd that people are sensitive about mowing but not snowblowing.
