Thanks for the heads up! We can supposedly be admitted an hour and a half before kick with our tickets, so hopefully parking won't be too crazy

Oklahoma Joe's is better than everyone else, in the world.

    Go there.

    IMO, 1.) Oklahoma Joe's 2.) Jack Stack 3.) Gates

I never thought the words "Hi, may I help you?" could be so intimidating.

I have only been to OK Joe's and Jack Stack (multiple times each) but I thought Jack Stack was the better of the two. That said, they are both fantastic.

You feel the floor give you a little tingle, man, Iowa State junior point guard Monte Morris said in a private moment after the game, leaning against a wall in the bowels of Hilton Coliseum. You feel it. You feel it. Its real. You feel it on the court. Its a tough feeling to explain. Its a vibration. It gets you going.

    He paused.

    Its magic.

Have eaten BBQ all over this great country and the absolutely best thing I have had has been the burnt ends on a bun, nirvana. Having said that sometimes it is less than nirvana.

    Re: KC BBQ

Have been to Jack Stack and Oklahoma Joe's. I would have to say I was disappointed with Jack Stack and OJ's was good but we were in line for two hours. We were only sitting for about 15-20 minutes once we got out meal. They have their service down to a science because there is always someplace to sit by the time you get through the line. I would recommend getting Oklahoma Joes's "To Go" if that's an option. Otherwise wait until about 9:30 pm to go.

I second Jack Stack and their cheesy corn bake. My wife got their rib-eye which was voted best steak in town. I've never seen my wife eat steak with 57 sauce until then.

BTW, just down the road from Kelly's is a burger joint called Flea Market. Best burger we ever ate.

Oklahoma Joe's and Jack Stack, for sure. Woodyard is underrated and really good. Plowboy's is newish but also excellent competition-style barbecue. Q39 is kinda fancy but the meats were excellent. Smokey's on the Boulevard makes a barbecued egg roll that is an experience.

Jack Stack if you want a cloth napkin or Bryant's if you want the old school hood experience. Sliced pork at Bryant's or anything at JS.
