I have a pinstripe suit from about 1990. I should donate it because there is no way I could every fit into that again.

They say country music speaks to the heart. Unfortunately, it has to go through your ears to get there.

Re: What's the oldest piece of clothing you own?

When I first went to college (1983), my dad gave me a wool overcoat that he bought in the 1950's. I still wear it and it is in great shape. I recently had the buttons re-sown and the button hole edges fixed up.

I have a couple of Ames City League BB championship t-shirts from the early 1990s that I wear. They are see-through now, but quite comfortable for sleeping.

A Sports Page cutoff shirt from 1994. If my wife ever throws it out we will divorce. It's that simple.

Hoiberg: I have a unique situation here. I grew up here. I went to college here. My family is close and my wife's family is close. I know everyone in the community and my family is very comfortable here. My daughter has dreamed about one thing and that's going to Iowa State. The NBA is great and I love the NBA, but I love Iowa State and the opportunity I have here. We've really built something special and I think we've got real momentum to keep it going even more.

Nice. I had a Metallica Ride the Lightning tshirt that glowed in the dark. Not sure what happened to it, but I know it didn't just walk away on its own. The investigation remains open.

I have my uncle's Navy pea coat from 1943. Still occasionally put on the 28 year old wedding dress on the anniversary.

Re: What's the oldest piece of clothing you own?

My Christmas present in 1993 was a teal suede jacket with a purple collar. My mom actually gave it to me in September so I could get more use out of it. I received a whole bunch of compliments at school. I can't zip it up anymore (need to lose a little weight), but I'll still wear it on days where it's too cold to go outside with just a sweater on. It's just the perfect weight for those days.

I also have my HS band jacket hanging in my closet. Not being thrown away any time soon.

I have an Iowa State grey sweatshirt that I have saved for sentimental reasons (circa 1996). Fits like a glove though

Oldest thing I still wear, 1996 Big 8 Tourney champs t-shirt :) It's been reduced to more or less a tank top now but it still gets out to mow once in awhile.

Re: What's the oldest piece of clothing you own?

I bought a Corona t-shirt from a vendor on a beach in Acapulco in the late 90's that I still wear. I had to cut the fenders off when a hole developed in one of the armpits about 10 years ago. Best $5 I ever spent.

I have a canvas hunting jacket that is older than me(45). Also several concert tees from the 80s in storage (Metallica, Judas Priest, Dokken, etc...).

Re: What's the oldest piece of clothing you own?

I have a hand-painted tie (I'm told they were the cat's meow way back when that was a real expression) that came out of my father's closet. Also a sport coat I specifically remember him buying at a clothing store in West Liberty during the sales held during the annual Turkey Days (sandwich, chips, and a drink for 10 cents!) in the mid 1960's. I have worn it in the past but like so many of us, I'm a bit too big around now.

I have several concert tee-shirts purchased at concerts when I was at ISU, 1976-1980, specifically a Moody Blues and The Who. They are both marked XL, but in today's world they would be medium. Don't fit me either.

I have some tees - as well as a reverse print Hawaiian shirt bought there (Hawaii) in summer 1985.

Yeah, I don't really get rid of cloths and generally take care of the ones I do get.

No matter what, I could NEVER cheer for Dirt and Urine.
