Right now, at least in many people's eyes, Bubu was cleared in the court of law, and many feel treated unfairly by the university. If he goes forward with a civil lawsuit and loses, I think that will shift many people's belief about Bubu that he did sexually assault her and simply got away with it.
I agree with you it is pretty bold to go after the accuser in the sexual assault case unless you feel confident about what you can prove. Bubu however does not have to agree with everything(civil lawsuit) his lawyer is telling him to do. He could have kept quiet and move to Colorado State. Also, Bubu has not yet been completely cleared by the court of law. I understand the administrative law judge sided with him . The District court also sided with him by reinstating to the team. He still has one big hurdle to jump which is the judicial review trial coming in July.

He sure did a good job of humbling the team. There were two or three times we could have used Bubu or a replacement. We did not have a deep bench.

    2 things:

    1) seems out of character for you to respond like that
    2) seems a little excessive to respond to one of the nicest guys on this board that way

I thought release of the Duck Hawks article was poorly timed. Where is the journalistic integrity releasing contents of a mysterious letter drop off in the middle of a lawsuit. Is he stuping/duping as the ISU Daily?

The reason I think it's probably legit is that Murph and Andy opened up a letter on their show once thinking it was hate mail, but it turned out to at least included a crime report and a medical report. I thought at the time that it was Bubu related.

It is out of character for me probably. I don't know that guy. I abhor redundancy and wasting people's time. I find the entire exchange ridiculous. I would expect to be called out for superfluous bullcrap as well.

People like Mr. Leath who don't understand the importance of sports are part of the reason ISU athletics have been historically irrelevant. Its time for a change.
Disagree with this 100%. The school and University are much bigger than the athletic department. I know places like Penn State have this backwards, we don't need that at ISU. Yes there have been bad presidents who unnecessarily hurt ISU athletics, but this case has nothing to do with the athletic department. Everyone throwing stones has to realize that criminal or not, Bubu's actions are what led to this whole mess. I don't know exactly what he did, but I'm glad he no longer represents ISU. I'm also happy it looks like he is getting a chance at CSU.

The university president shouldn't be involved in decisions of athletic eligibility. If he thinks he truly needs to be then he should be involved in the athletic department process of determining eligibility. That being said the president should be allowed to take away eligibility through no extracurriculars or suspension/expulsion from the school. Even if there is truly a cause for punishment that doesn't take away the fact that the athletics was really the only thing that was targeted/punished.

It was appealed to him. Without that, he was staying uninvolved.

Was he involved in any other extracurriculars outside of sports? Athletic eligibility falls under extracurriculars by definition.
