That's been up in the air. The most frequently discussed option I've heard is moving Castro to second or third, neither of which I'm a fan of, but especially second. Baez isn't a great glove, either, and having him and Castro up the middle would leave us VERY weak defensively.

My bet is that either Castro gets traded, or one of the three makes a move to the outfield.

Honestly, I don't care who he is or whether he's got good numbers. Bryant is an absolute monster at the plate. Put him in the 4 hole and turn him loose.

Castro, Rizzo, and Bryant will be an excellent combination. Just get guys on in front of them, and we're good to go.

For my money, I keep thinking that Castro would fit in left field.

Uh, Castro isn't exactly having a bad year, it's not time to rule him out yet.

No, but he's probably the most eligible candidate to move to a corner outfield spot.

    First hit. First home run.

Kris Bryant hits a home run to right, his first hit and first home run of his triple-A career. #Cubs #PCL #MiLB

Before everyone gets all hot and bothered, I was there for Mark Prior's first game with the Iowa Cubs. He only struck out 10 (the side in the first inning...on 10 pitches) and hit not 1, but 2 home runs.

To be fair, if it hadn't been for Dusty Baker/injuries, Prior was absolutely the real deal.

Bryant showed some good patience at the plate, even when his at bats resulted in an out. His patience paid off on the homer. You have to have some power to be able to go opposite field over that right field wall.

He's pretty interesting, to say the least. He finished second in the Southern League in strikeouts, but he also led the league in walks and does show really solid plate discipline. I've never seen a guy who shows such good plate discipline, yet still strikes out a lot and hits for a very high average.
