Granted, there are a lot of fairly hefty bikers that don't ride all that far/much and like making it look like they're into it, but if you're riding more than 20 miles in a sitting on a regular basis, you want bike gear.

on the topic of biker's shorts, let's throw speedos in there as well. If you're getting together at a lake with some friends/coworkers/strangers, probably leave the Speedo at home. If I can tell your parents' religion, that's just too much for me. Plus, cold water ain't doing you any favors.

It's more than just a little bit of comfort. Sitting on that saddle for hours on end is pretty uncomfortable, sitting on it with a shorts seam between your *** and the saddle can be intolerable. I don't know of anyone who wears cycling shorts for the look.

To be fair, I think most of Western society is that way regardless of religion anymore. Because the other way is gross.

I have to admit something rather embarrassing. I never knew what "If I can tell your parents religion" meant but was afraid to ask. I just figured it out. I believe I may now know everything there is to know in the world.

normally I think they just say "your religion" and not "your parents'", but when you really think about it, it's not the kids' religion, it's his parents'.

'tis true, but how else would you phrase that sentence?

"If I can tell whether you're with or without the downstairs turtleneck" would be one way.

You would think so, but the stats are actually a little over 50% not, a little less than 50% is. It's very regional. The entire west coast has super-low rates, but the midwest/Bible belt has very high rates.
