I love how he talks about still wanting to play in the NBA. I mean the NBA isn't exactly loaded with guys who love good clean fun, but he hasn't played basketball in like 2 years and he's getting old now for an NBA Rookie.. Not only that, but he was a tweener in the first place. Now that he's spent some hard time, I doubt people are going to be jumping for joy on draft day when some team announces they just drafted a sex offender.

Keep Dreamin' Pierre, and remember this is all your fault buddy.

Re: Mothers, lock up your daughters........

I would personally like to thank Pierre Pierce some day for educating me on one thing:

He taught me a word I never knew existed.

In my 4+ decades on this wonderful planet, I had never heard the word "Mandingo". I remember the day he said it more than any detail of his experiences, court appearances, or his incarceration.

I'm not making fun of Pierre Pierce or Iowa fans, or anything, but I'm about to make fun of Channel 8 News...

I remember Channel 8 New people trying to describe to viewers what a "Mandingo" was and why Pierre Pierce would say he is not one. I remember the anchors "banter" with the reporter covering the story - and not one of them was comfortable talking about the word, the context in which it was used, or why someone would say that with cameras rolling.

It had me rolling on the floor. Moments in broadcast history like that are priceless. It ranks right up there with Channel 5's mismatched photos during a story (many years ago) introduced as a "heartwarming story about a boy and his effort to do something special for his special-needs sister" when the graphic over the newspuppet's shoulder was of 2 bodies on the ground with the words "Double Homicide" underneath.

Take away the fact that obviously two humans lost their lives and that is very tragic and all that and I value all human life, but that was freaking funny.

So thank you Pierre Pierce, I owe a life-long memory to you!
