Just for the sake of conversation, what do you disagree with?

BTW, I agreed with him almost the entire way, as well. The only difference being I thought he said the ISU running game might be able to get going, where I think the passing game will need to step up and stretch the D (maybe I read that wrong, too. Who knows).

Iowa will have a VERY good O-line this year and a big RB. Put that on the field against our thin and inexperienced D-line and I gotta say I do not like our chances. We will need to win TO battle and score 28+ pts to even have a chance. IMHO

He forgot to factor in that we try harder and that Iowa just doesn't get up for this game and that Iowa has everything to lose and nothing to gain from this game and... oh, sorry I thought this was about Jon Miller... Never mind.

Are we really that thin at defensive line? Added 4 JUCOs and Jensen came back. We have some huge additions on the defensive line, especially ones with major size. Our size on the defensive line is way bigger than last year. Add in the experience of Morrissey, Cousin and Jensen and I think people are making this way worse than it should be.

Right super bowl factor for ISU always plays a part.

Now there isnt a poster he hasnt started a fight with, he is in every single thread on the main page, bashing every statement someone makes about the Hawks (good or bad). I mean he has to be either NorwalkHawk or Kirk Ferentz.

I have to admit, that is one of the best GIFs ever. The driver flops over like a rag doll. It doesn't even look like he tries to stay in the driver's seat. He must have caught a stray bullet to the head.

    2. I did not read the article but Morehouse is hands down one of the best even keeled sports writers out there.

The fact that you are relying on four JUCOs to say that ISU won't be thin on the DL says everything you need to know about how thin your DL will be in 2014. ISU lost its two most productive DL in the offseason and will be replacing those guys with a guy who chose to give up football at one point and a bunch of JUCOs.

Can JUCOs be plug & play guys? Sure they can. How often does a 2* or 3* JUCO come into a P5 program and be an impact starter in year one? Rarely.

There's really no logical reason to think ISU's DL will be better than it was last year.
