I wouldn't mind paying 200-250 for my upper deck ends. Still insanely cheap. Winning takes $.

We give $500, but we got those seats through the under 30 discount for several years and moved up quite a bit during the down Morgan and McDermott eras. I think the people around us are more in the $1000 range.
I suspect that, too. At that point, if they've doubled within 3 years and are going up again, I think I'm out. There's only so much money around here.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.
Make this one for the ages!

MBB is the most exciting to watch right now, but definitely the least family friendly unfortunately. Other than the break games that they offer to the Jr. Cyclone Club we haven't been able to take our family to a MBB game. We used to have friends come in for a weekend to do a gymnastics meet ( 5young girls between our families) and a MBB game. The past 2 years we haven't been able to get tickets. We used to do football season tickets, have never had MBB. We just rely on the season tickets available when my retired parents vacation for 1-2 months during Jan and Feb. :)

Re: Ticket prices to increase, parking and donation levels to change

New stadium upgrades will be great but coming off (possibly) two years in a row of no bowl game and a possible serious lack of momentum in the FB program and you jack up prices so much that you have to send a letter a year in advance to prepare the public? Hmmm, could certainly back fire here.

The letter seems like it was written by JP . . . and not edited by someone who is a better writer!

It seems like he felt he had to say something because rumors were taking off. For instance, the letter clearly states that we are not reseating Hilton this year. I find it interesting that this hasn't even been an issue on CF.

Wonder what he meant by "the south hills . . . will be modified during construction." Hope they start by tearing up the southwest hillside (where visitors sit)! Give a nice welcome to Lakes . . . to a mudside!

Is that $200 for the entire season? Wow. Nice.

They are balcony corner seats. They went from 99 to 129 to 149 over last 3 years. Basically the 99 was to get butts in the seats after the McDermott era. Now they are gradually trying to find real market value for them

Cut Fred's salary and we could pay for most of this.....

Re: Ticket prices to increase, parking and donation levels to change

The key issue, as far as retention, will be the changes that aare made in the Balcony sections. People should be donating $5,000 a year to sit in the lower level based upon our current success. However, what what happens if Fred leaves? How many people are going to donate 5k for McDermott type success? They need to be extremely careful how they approach the balcony donation levels. I think they are going to get extreme pushback if they raise the gold donation from $1,000 to $2,500.00. That is a hefty donation each year to sit in the balcony; even if they are the best balcony seats.

This is the way of the future when it comes to full coast of attendance. No one seemed to grasp that the "fans" were going to have to pay for the players increased benefits.

I Think This Was Expected in MBByin

With the MBB program as hot as it is, I think ticket price increases and charging for basketball parking was to be expected. It was nice paying less than $150 for balcony corners while it lasted. That said, if ISU is going to raise prices, it needs to make sure the game experience is first rate in all aspects. Otherwise they risk losing season ticket holders if the on court product isn't as strong.
The two MBB areas they should focus on are concessions and traffic control after games. With concessions the lines are long before the game and during half. Sure I can leave at a TV timeout, but then risk missing a couple minutes of game action. Also the quality of hot food is poor.
There also needs to be some effort to direct traffic out after games. Have the ISU logistics depr do a study and make recommendations. Do something! Last year for some conference games, it took 25+ minutes to get out of the Hilton lots.

With an consumer product if you pay more for a product, you expect not to have negative experiences or you find alternatives. In the cases of concessions and parking there are both.

Hmmm. When my wife and I went to the Texas Tech game this year, the parking regulators wouldn't let us in to those lots, even though there were open spots galore by the alumni center. We ended up parking by the sand volleyball courts and walking up the hill and across University. In the snow. Only to see a line of cars turning into the lots we were denied access to five minutes before.

Just an off-topic whine from me. Back to your regularly scheduled thread.

I think a few times they were blocked off for CY Stephens, or an other event.

My tip top corner seat at Kansas is $900 for the season. Like I said, nice.
