Sounds like predictions from the Farmers' Almanac.

If we win 6 games we will be doing better than I'm expecting.

I'll allow the possibility of 8-4, even though I consider it a stretch.

I would not, however, expect the losses to be that close, nor do I see so many lopsided wins.

First post. Troll? Trying to get us to admit what has already been said often about how much we will struggle this year? Not going to bother posting about another good topic in a thread started by a dubious poster.

8-4, and we call Hawkeye fans delusional? Mark this thread, we do have posters who are crazy too. No way we get 8 wins. I'll be over joyed and consider it a huge triumph, if we find a way to win 6.

So you're envisioning a team right on the edge of total dominance that only the best teams in the conference can squeak past?

    Re: Football Season Predictions

I think 8 wins are possible, but the young guys on defense will have to play above their years. Every position on defense may very well be better except safety, IMO. Problem is the defensive tackles have no depth.

After watching last year's team, I don't know how anyone could come to any other conclusion.
