Any time a guy looks like he is gliding and continually glides by people to the rim-he's fast.

Ejim ended up running a faster time than Kane

Certainly there is no hunting like the hunting of man and those who have hunted armed men long enough and liked it, never really care for anything else thereafter.

Re: NBA Draft Combine - Melvin and Deandre

I can see kane be drafted in the mid 2nd round to a contending team looking for a solid backup combo guard that can contribute right away. I don't see a team looking for youth drafting him. I just don't see ejim being drafted. Kane fits the mold physically and skill set wise. Ejim just has too many questions about his game translating to the nba. If Ejim tightens up his ball handling as much as he did over the past year i can see him being on an nba roster by the end of next season like chris babb.

Ejim shot 18 for 25 from NBA three range at the combine. He is in the mix. What is the word on Marble?

Had a very good first day but a bad second day testing. Doubt he'll get drafted but ya never know.

Not sure if this is in reference to Kane, but what always amazed me about him was how long a stride he would take attacking the rim. He isn't the tallest guy, but he would take advantage of every inch of his legs by taking huge strides to the basket.

That is so exaggerated it's not even funny anymore.

If you can play, they'll take you, period.

Look at all the guys who flame out before they even reach DeAndre's Methuselah-like age.

Re: NBA Draft Combine - Melvin and Deandre

I feel like Kane's age should be an issue if he was considered a potential lottery pick. But in the 2nd rd you're pretty happy if you get a guy that can remotely contribute for a few years, and I don't see a player being a few years older being that much of a negative at that point.

Or the opposite. Look at how many old men are in the playoffs right now. And Ray Allen or Tim Duncan aren't getting the usual "seniors tour" minutes, either.

Steve Nash is still playing at 40.

Re: NBA Draft Combine - Melvin and Deandre

I read an article a couple years back where basically their research showed that players had a certain number of years in the league and that number was not impacted by their age when entering. So, a player going in at 18 and a player going in at 24 would still have a roughly equal number of years to play.

I'm not sure you can really consider what Steve Nash did this year as "playing". More like "he showed up to collect some checks".

Ejim reminds me of Draymond Green. Bit of a tweener, but Green found a role as a play-hard, hit 3's guy. Green will be in the league a long time. Hope Ejim does the same.

Wouldn't DeAndre be entering the league around the same age as some of the international guys they stash away for 4-5 years?

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.
Make this one for the ages!
