    Re: Cooke update

I don't get why there's so much hate on Dayton here. What did they do to you? Dayton is rough (especially near UD arena and one side of Univ of Dayton), but there are some really nice area near UD. I used to work for UD and lived on campus as a part of my job for few years and I enjoyed my time living there. It's pretty good place once you get to know the town. I've seen far worse place than Dayton (i.e. Cincy near Xavier/UC).

They have a rich basketball tradition. It's really good program with supportive administration and great facility. They also have huge basketball fan base. Students and fans always fill up UD arena. I can see why recruits want to play for them. I rather play for UD than play for so called "BCS" program with no fan/administration support.

I could see him choosing Dayton.

Ok, so the area I saw when I was in town for our couple of games did not strike me as "nice." And the only thing people could come up with to tell you to do was go see the U.S. Air Force Museum, yipee!!

I never take anything for granted in recruiting. I think we end up with him but it wouldn't shock me of he liked Dayton and ended up there.

What would you tell people to do if they came to Ames, Iowa?

I thought Dayton was alright when I went there for the tournament back in 2013. Granted, I enjoyed Oklahoma City's Bricktown more in 2010 and Louisville was fun too in the KFC Yum! Center/area in 2012, but I had a good time in Dayton too.

So glad trollcoach is posting in yet another thread he has no business posting in. I wish one of the mods would just get rid of the *** hole once and for all.

Yeah, maybe the player who shall not be named should have played for twocoach's team. They deserve each other.

I agree with this. I guess I can say the same thing for Lawrence. I suppose I would say AFH and Free State?

Bottom line: Who are we to talk anything bad about any town?

Obviously the hate for Dayton is because Cooke is considering them, and right now they are in competition with us. This is a CF tradition, any school that is after the same recruit, unless it is a blue blood. And if it's a blue blood we'll find some other reason why he should attend ISU over that school.
