I'm sorry but that whole brochure screams gigantic bubble. Its almost all just marketing glitz and extravagances.

True true but I'd also like to see schools other than Texas and Oklahoma have major revonations. When the perception to a lot of people is the Big 2 and little 8, it's nice to see the other 8 schools making major improvements.

TCU has a brand new stadium.
Baylor is going to have a brand new stadium (opening in 2015?)
Okie State, KSU and us have all done/continue to do major renovations
TTU and WVU have pretty good stadiums already, no clue if they have any upgrades planned.
    KU has a track.

I'd say that's pretty good for the little 8.

Revenue stream - suites. Chairbacks ate a lot of regular stadium room, it's more than made up for in suites

These are things that 370mill buys. I'm sure the videos and renderings cost close to a million.... When you have little you spend it where it counts.

Am I the only one who think KU tearing out the track was bad idea? Seemed like one thing that was distinguishable about their stadium.

They opened a brand new track complex this spring (also with separate competition facilities for soccer and softball), so there was no need for the track inside the football stadium anymore.

Re: OU getting $350-400 million renovation

Well good for them, it is beautiful. Oklahoma has won multiple national championships, played in and won other BCS games and has had a great football tradition for well forever. I would hope the support would be very high, and the cash rolling in.

The goal that should be ours is to build something that is better than schools on our level of success because that is truly who we compete with for recruits, not Texas, OU, USC, Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, Oregon, etc. We don't compete with them in any facet of the game of college football except on the field.
