-repeat every 15 minutes until 9
-start running; start panting shortly after
-oh god, I'm only a quarter mile into my three miles
-oh god, I'm only .3 miles into my 3 miles
-oh god, there's a cute girl next to me and I'm sweating like a prostitute at church
    -am I wheezing?!
-alright, just sound cool, don't let her hear the wheezing...
-I need to take off my headphones, because it feels like I'm wheezing loudly
    -yep, I'm wheezing loudly
-oh god, I'm only half a mile in to my three miles
-alright Ben, you've got this, she looked at you, just run with correct form now....
-*looks in window and see the hot mess I am while running and trying to look good*
-just hold back the tears and try to get out of here as fast as possible...

But there's no feeling good afterward. Just the notion that the hot girl that saw me as a sweaty wheezing mess is still going to be stuck in the same room as me for another 45 minutes as a lift. I take my time at the gym seriously, so it's hard to do that and look attractive to the opposite sex at the same time.

haha, I'm glad to know that running guys have the same thoughts. I see guys running and even though I'm married, I still want to appeal, you know? Heck, I'll see other women running and be like ****, she's all in running shorts with great legs. I need to go faster so I look like a real runner like her. I try to slow the wheezing for when I'm coming up on walkers. I don't want them to think they're about to be attacked by an asthmatic bear.

    Mine was,

Clock is exactly 3:00. Why do I hear the dog's tags jingling? Call her name, she darts out of the bedroom. Turn on the bedside light. Nice gooey mess on the carpet. Get up and she's waiting at the door. Let her out. Find the carpet cleaner and a wad of paper towels. Spray mess, let soak, wipe up. Repeat, repeat. Fluff up the nap. Let the dog back in. She cowers off to her box. Now I need to pee. Now I'm thirsty (Mexican for dinner last night). Now I'm wide awake. Go down to the basement and putter around record collection. Find a book on the Zombies I'd like to re-read.
Come back up and read for a while. Get sleepy, turn off the light. Notice it's 5:20 and lightening up outside. Damn.

No matter what, I could NEVER cheer for Dirt and Urine.

I mean, isn't that pretty much what everyone works out for? If women were turned on by fat and out of shape dudes, I'd have no problem completely letting myself go and never setting foot in the gym again.

I have a pair of 9-mos old kittens in the house, brother & sister. They sleep when I'm at work. They play when I'm home. It's like having hyperactive toddlers...they jump up, you say no and put them down. Repeat x10 before they find a new way to bug you. Wood floor in bedroom, tall four poster with plenty of clearance underneath. Great place to play hide & seek and tag, especially when the whole house is dark and the humans are non-responsive...although they pounce periodically during the night to see if we've changed our plans.

I'm going to outlast this phase or I'm going to strangle them. I'll keep you posted.

She was hiding behind the freezer in the garage when hubby came home. She's been following him around like a puppy ever since. It's hysterical...she's this tiny little thing (<6lbs), all black, with thumbs (she's polydactyl). She trots after him wherever he goes in the house.

We have a pair of 5 month old kittens/sisters right now so I feel KC's pain. Going from a 17-year old cat to kittens = whiplash. They are forever picking up new fascinations. Right now we're into stealing toothpicks and dragging them around the house and trying to get into the bathtub with me. And drinking from Great Plains Pizza cups.

They have fox (it's really a dog tug of war toy, but it was free) that they fight over. The two older cats (male, 9 & female, 4) never touched it, but the kittens pounced on it day one. It's actually longer than Molly is, but she will grab it, straddle it & awkwardly run around the house with Milo in close pursuit. To encourage them into the carrier for a trip to the vet, I put the fox in the carrier. I saw Milo first, went and picked him up, headed back toward the carrier only to see Molly disappearing around the corner, fox dragging behind. They're definitely entertaining. And VERY cuddly, which is what I needed after I lost Smudgy & Garf.
