Exhausted all day, fight off napping all day, muster the energy to go to the gym, can't go to sleep until 3am. It's like an ever-revolving story.

I worked nights for many years. Even though I have been working days for quite a few years I still have trouble sleeping at night. I live in a state of perpetual jet lag.

Outside of doctor prescribed, nothing works.

Why do some websites have a large text box that is limited to 40 characters and then a teeny one that is limited to 1000 characters?

Retirement suits you. Even if you did relapse, at least you've taken the sensible approach and sequestered yourself to an island. You'll run out of people eventually.

Sounds like you need to go back to killing strippers and homeless people. That apparently worked, and I bet you slept like a baby.

    Cyclone
Iowa State became the Cyclones after they leveled Northwestern in 1895. As the Chicago Tribune (9/29/1895) noted:
    'Struck by a Cyclone
It Comes from Iowa and Devastates Evanston Town'

    Re: Random thoughts thread

I tried to convince my wife that we should speak with English accents around our daughter for the first 4 years of he life so she'd pick up on it.

My wife is no fun some times.

Of course, my wife's English accent sounds like some odd combination of English/Australian/French/Farsi/Chinese/Texan anyway.

maybe just throw in random English words like "blimey", "crickey", and "the telly". Toddlers with British accents are so cute.
