Which is a shame. Graham Norton puts all the current American late night hosts to shame. Better interviews, skits, improvisation. just a higher tier of quality.

Most times Craig was just sitting down to talk with his guests rather than a strict interview to promote a movie or whatever.
His interviews could just be hilarious. Especially with some of the actresses.

Eh....I listen to their podcast (which is a good listen) and let's just say that interviewing is not their strong suit. They'd have to be given a lot of leeway to really change up the format to work.

His interviews with Alice Eve are some of my favorites of his.

Ah, I wasn't aware of that. That's too bad, since I love their off-the-cuff schtick. They have always reminded me a little of Dennis Miller before he became entirely political - lots of esoteric knowledge that is worked into jokes in a really clever and pithy way.

Their riffing on sports stories or random stupid criminal stories on the podcast is great, so that part of the show would be fine. But when they interview their guests it becomes this annoying mixture of Fallon-esque gushing, comparing every story to the same 3-4 projects they were involved in, and getting too tied up into tangents only fellow comedians would find interesting. Maybe that would be less of an issue if they had a bigger pool of better guests to interview, but going off the 5 year sample size of the podcast, that show would live or die on the ability of each night's guest to keep up with them on riff tangents.

That's a really good point - their humor is really pointed, and definitely for a particular audience. If their guests weren't "in the know" on a joke, it would definitely make it hard to work out.

Re: Craig Ferguson Leaving Late, Late Show

Not surprising. His contract was up at the end of the year & Worldwide Pants is getting out of late night when Letterman leaves. Any future show would be produced by CBS. One interesting name that is floating around to host: Neil Patrick Harris.

Seriously check out their podcast though. They do a sports heavy one on Fridays and a more general one on Tuesdays. It's good stuff. And I believe they just dropped a new special on Netflix this weekend, but I haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

They did at the Union probably 3ish years ago.

Cant stand the Sklar brothers or Ferguson. I wish Kilborn was still on but he would probably be tired now also. They should try a new guy that is different.

Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

I'll have to do that. And even just Jason and Randy chatting about what they had for lunch would have to be pretty hilarious. I didn't know that about Netflix, I know what's getting added to the queue - thank you!
