People are bored so they entertain themselves, especially when it's the offseason and there is maybe one update per day. Most of it is wasting time until the next season comes around.
I agree to an extent....this might be the first message bored that ive seen thats tried to regulate humor on its board. There are actually quite a few posters that are hilarious....and when theres nothing going on? Want the site traffic or not?

I do agree with the previous poster...the "I Trust Fred" and "Want" posters are insufferable.

IMO this should be a fun site where Clone fans chat, get to know each other and spill some inside information when we get it. Just use the right threads is all. Easy.

But, you must take the oath of secrecy. Those pay sites discuss some pretty heavy stuff.

Could not agree more. I hope CF can always continue to do that.

“That’s how good they are,” said Moton, whose MEAC champion Eagles (28-5) are on a 20-game win streak. “I couldn’t sleep (Monday) night. I woke up in the middle of the night thinking about DeAndre Kane — and that’s reality. … They just present so many different matchup nightmares across the board.”

    Re: Recruiting

I hate mega-threads so I rarely open them.

One well regulated thread about recruits would be good.

But, alternately, I also like to see a separate thread on any serious recruits; especially when the visit is imminent/happening. And I don't even mind another separate one whenever a recruit chooses the good guys.

No matter what, I could NEVER cheer for Dirt and Urine.

Twitter is a great way to keep up on all of the recruiting stuff. Rothstien, frashilla and goodman are all pretty good reliable sources on twitter and usually are among the first to report any news. It would be nice to have a thread on here without all the bs, but I don't see that happening.
But how else are we to know that a poster does, in fact, Trust Fred? Also, you forgot the always witty "Let me Mayor, Coach".

As in "jot or tittle" from Tindale's translation of the bible. Refers to the tiniest elements in writing... such as the dot above the "i " ...

    Re: Recruiting

We should think of something else to call it besides recruiting. Hoiberg's method of "recruiting" is very different from what we have seen in the past. In a good way, of course.

    This is Ophion speaking.

    Re: Recruiting

I thought a good alternative to sifting through hours of crap in monster threads would be a "quick hits" feature at the top of the page of which thread you are in...

this would be mod operated and pretty much just post "the facts" or important information to the topic at the top of each page. You could post links to articles important to the thread topic or just what is known. This allows guys like oldgeezer to get all the info he would be really interested in right away and sift through the nonsense and if he so desired look through the thread...
