AC/DC. Awesome band but I can't take it no more.

Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

I generally listen to the local classical station. I called in one time to make a request and the studio host(DJ) said "we just played that piece 3 weeks ago."

I never really cared for them anyways, but I'll change the station whenever a Black Keys song comes on.

This is Rihanna, in college whenever Rihanna came on it was our groups cue to leave the room.

I enjoyed early Foo Fighters, but not so much the newer stuff. Even if I were a big fan of their newer stuff, though, they're on the radio ALL. THE. TIME.

Re: Friday OT - Bands ruined for you by oversaturation

Metallica was the first one for me, but they had a lot to do with that themselves.

Take my man card away, because I really liked Lorde when they first made the scene, but cripes, I can't get into the car anymore with the wife (her radio station) without hearing them. They are played...constantly.

Re: Friday OT - Bands ruined for you by oversaturation

One strategy I've employed to avoid over saturation:

I don't listen to the radio. I listen to my ipod, or Spotify, or whatever. I have no one to blame but myself for most of the music I hear.

In 1984, I was hospitalized for approaching perfection.

Before I opened the thread the KoL were what popped in my head instantly. I like their sound, but after that summer and their first few songs, I hear one or two notes and...click. Can't stand any of it now.

[like the bands- just tired of their hits]
Add Boston to this list please.

As the dude would say, "Not the f**cking eagles man!"

I used to love jamming to Buckcherry & Nickleback I still skip when they come up on my pandora or iTunes playlist.
Every time I'm in the bar and some a-hole plays lynard skynard, the eagles, or hinder I want to shove a knife in my ears and take my own life.

That rug really tied the room together, did it not dude?

I've been a Black Keys fan since before Rubber Factory and I'm not burned out BUT...have you noticed how often their songs are on TV ads? It's a lot and to the point that if I were in their inner circle I'd suggest trying to "protect their brand" a bit better. Take it easy with the booze ads guys...

Yeah, they're going the route of The Who (another band I love) - maybe pick and choose a bit more when you sell those songs.

Say it ain't so Angie! Back in the day, Billy Joel, John Mellencamp and Bruce Springsteen.
