It is a little interesting that people can believe one or the other and totally disregard the other...

See, now, I would have thought you would be much more comfortable in a situation of such digital precision as you outlined there.

I don't think you get what a scientific theory is. The phrase does not mean what the general public believes it to be. Gravity is still a "theory."

I get exactly what a theory is, basically everything in science is a theory. She should be required as a public school teacher to inform her class of said theories. His child isn't going to a private school, therefore they teach science and not religion.

Whoops, my mistake. I read "isn't she" in your previous post as "she isn't," which basically changed the whole meaning.

    Carry on

Personally, I don't believe in macroevolution. And it is not because of my religious beliefs. I completely disagree that there any scientific proof that macroevolution exists. I do believe that there is plenty of proof of microevolution and that scientists just make the leap that if microevolution exists than macroevolution has to exist. But it is just a theory. No one can convince me that humans evolved from monkeys or any other species and there is no scientific proof that it happened. And I have done a lot of research on this and every argument has been proof of microevolution.
I'm curious about what you have to say about the fossil record of humanoids that, the farther you go back in history, become more and more ape like until you just have apes.

Aaannnd that's not what well-balanced and right minded Christians believe. The vocal, misguided, "using religion to cover up their guilty conscience and insecurities" crowd that unfortunately is seen as 'mainstream' christians because that's always who runs to the media and who the media runs to...yes, they do believe that, but that's not in line with the actual teachings of Jesus or the bible. It's exactly that mindset and religious mentality that Jesus destroyed with his ministry.

Probably because it does. That's not arrogance, that's just looking at facts and coming to a logical conclusion.

If religion was just about how to be a good person, that would be pretty cool.
