It's never a good sign when you're trying to figure out your rotations on the fly in May. And to me, that's where both the Thunder and Pacers are at now. Vogel's trying to figure out what the hell happened to Hibbert and also figure out what to do with Turner, Scola and Copeland. Brooks has no clue what his wing and backup pg rotations are. When you're scrambling at this point in the season, it's hard to get caught back up.

I don't think the NBA will expand anytime soon, and when they do Seattle is first in line for a new franchise.

In other news, I see the Pacers have resorted to having David West try to scare some life into Roy Hibbert -

    http://espn.go.com/nba/playoffs/2014...re-roy-hibbert

He looked totally broken from a mental standpoint last night. I don't know how they'll get him back on track. That said, I think they win Game 2. Trevor Ariza won't shoot like that again and this time around Vogel won't hesitate to go small if Hibbert continues to struggle.
Ariza isn't going to shoot 100% but if the Pacers keep leaving him open, he's going to make a high percentage. That's the strange thing about Indiana in the playoffs so far. As weird as the collapse of Hibbert has been, the fact that Indiana is allowing an ungodly number of 3's when they had been so good at not allowing easy 3 looks is just crazy.

Yeah. It's a fine line between making in-series adjustments and trying to make wholesale changes to your team's identity. Vogel's in an impossible spot now - if he benches Hibbert and goes small then he'll get killed by pundits for going away from what made the Pacers successful all year. If he sticks with Hibbert, he'll get killed by pundits for being too stubborn to change his philosophy.

Wizards have a good starting five, better than the Pacers at this point. Not impressed with point guards for the Pacers.

Let my Fred's Posse Ride: Georges, Naz, Hogue, Bryce, Nader, Monte, Matt, and McKay.

His problem is he can't beat Miami without Hibbert playing well. So he has to try to get him out of this funk while at the same time finding a way to beat the Wizards. He's got the toughest job in the playoffs right now.

Is Westbrook the most overrated player in the NBA? Seriously. He's terrible.

He's a turnover just waiting to happen most times down the floor. The Thunder's offense should run through the MVP of the league in Durant.... not Westbrook.

Westbrook isn't terrible, in fact he's one of the 10 best players in the league. He's not a true point guard though and the fact that his coach has a pretty simplistic gameplan doesn't help much.

Not bad for a guy that has been on 10 NBA teams.

Westbrook needs to calm the **** down on defense. He's been all over the place, and not in a good way, on that side of the ball.

It's definitely a tough spot for Vogel. If Hibbert were just injured, it would be easier. You adjust your game plan to his absence and move on. With him falling apart while being seemingly healthy, it makes it much more difficult. You don't want to just bench a 7'2" all-star center, you want to keep throwing him out there assuming he's going to get it back on of these days, but he's killing them when he's out there and he's not giving Vogel much of a choice.

Mark Jackson is done in Oakland. If Brooks doesn't survive in OKC, I could see Jackson possibly landing there.

Jackson's overtly religious personality is going to rub some organizations the wrong way. OKC is the only team in the NBA that does an in-arena pregame prayer and I believe Durant is pretty religious so it could be a good fit from that perspective. Jackson's going to get a lot of questions about off the floor stuff, like how he handles a coaching staff, in any interview. Lot of pressure on Presti and the front office to make a good hire here or else lose Durant in two years.

They are praying for Westbrook to have a triple double without going 10-31 from the field.
