“That’s how good they are,” said Moton, whose MEAC champion Eagles (28-5) are on a 20-game win streak. “I couldn’t sleep (Monday) night. I woke up in the middle of the night thinking about DeAndre Kane — and that’s reality. … They just present so many different matchup nightmares across the board.”

You're a piece of work. Are we supposed to care what your opinion is when you flaunt your KU bias on a rival board? Or are you just trying to self-idolize how big your stones are because you have the nerve to come over here and question our coach?

Someone really needs to update it as it's a few years old now. I can only imagine the fun Self has been having these last couple years.

Nixon would be jealous of the stuff Self and KU get away with.

Yes ... getting back to twocoach's initial question for Game 1 starters... with assumption Nader doesn't play (for simplicity):

    Morris
    Long
    BDJ
    Hogue
    Niang

    Thomas
    Edozie
    Custer/SDW

Edozie 2nd off bench, due to fewer frontcourt players.

They did not get away with the recruiting violations. They were punished for them. To say that the article is a bit loose with the facts would be putting it mildly. Entertaining read, though.

You absolutely cannot deny the Mario Chalmers recruitment and how sketchy it was. It is worse than what UNLV is doing for Rashad Vaughn or Seton Hall and Isaiah Whitehead.

Let's look at the actual facts of the recruitment of Mario Chalmers. Ronnie Chalmers coached basketball for more than 20 years in the Air Force before coaching his son's high school team (to two state titles I might add). Not exactly the "five eyars of experience" that the Mizzou blog reports. Mario committed to Kansas in mid-May and Self and Ronnie Chalmers did not even have discussions about any type of job until mid-June when Self found out that Mario's parents were planning to move to Lawrence. And agin, the job that he got, Director of Basketball Operations, is a glorified gopher position where your primary job is to make sure that the team has what it needs when it goes on the road. To imply that "only five years of coaching experience" (which isn't even true) makes it shady is to ignore the fact that ISU gave Fred Hoiberg the HEAD COACH job with ZERO coaching experience of any type at any level. They wanted to move Danny Manning out of the job and back to Director of Student Athlete Development so that he would have more direct dealing with the athletes in preparation for his career in coaching. They had a competent guy available that would make one of their new players more comfortable to have around. Sorry, but it's only shady if you want it to be and you choose to ignore the actual facts. Again, take what you want from an article written by a Mizzou fan. If you're dumb enough to believe anything you read word for word simply because it was printed on the internet then there's really no hope for you.

    Re: Concern for next year

Did the KU guy get 9 days mostly because he was too stupid to operate within the "safety net" provided by the public officials who have been corrupted by KU donors? If anything, the arrests and citations in Ames show that athletes aren't given a pass by the police. Can you imagine the life of the officer in Lawrence who gives a citation to a KU one and done? They probably have something in their police oath about allegiance to Bill Self.

And I'd love to get into the actual facts about Don Davis, the "Kansas booster" who gave Darnell jackson impermissable benefits.http://www2.ljworld.com/news/2005/no...lations/Kansas had NO CLUE that there was any type of relationship between the two, as it existed long before Kansas recruited him. And it was KANSAS that reported the situation to the NCAA and KANSAS who suspended Jackson as soon as they learned of it. Yeah, pretty "shady" of Self. Some of the extra benefits that Jackson received were that Davis would drive Jackson's mother from Oklahoma City to Lawrence to watch games since she couldn't drive herself after she was severaly injured in a car accident when hit by a drunk driver, an accident that also killed Jackson's grandmother. Other impermissable benefits were meals since the mother could no longer work and the family struggled financially. Gotta love the ncaa.
