I played Wu-tang clan at obscenely loud levels to **** with my neighbors senior year. It was mainly cuz they played girly **** and country music loudly. It was beautiful when they were day-drinking and had to come ask me for a corkscrew. I'm glad that cop didn't come knocking.

You all understand that being "arrested" does not mean he was placed in jail. It simply means he was detained. I'm not an expert, but I believe anytime a cop writes you a ticket for speeding, underage drinking, etc., you are technically "arrested" while you sit there and wait for your ticket.

Re: Nealy arrested for a noise complaint

    1. Stop complaining about how many were arrested in the riot. I already know 1 person has been arrested for a video they put up and what they were saying in the video led cops to arrest them. More arrests are coming. You can't just arrest one person easily during a riot, otherwise it will **** everyone off.

    2. No, well, I don't know if he was actually a poster on HN.

    3. Everyone on my facebook feed who complains about the cops also talks all the time about smoking pot. Therefore, I'm going to assume everyone that complains about the cops is just a pot smoker on here. Including you, Bret. There's a reason you work with plants all the time.

Being detained and being arrested are two different things.

So over the last 24 hours we've talked about picking up a broken stop sign and playing your music too loudly. What do you think our next athlete arrest will be for?

    I'm going with jaywalking.

Typically, but I saw him doing something with plants and kids on twitter. I'm just going to assume it was heroin.

Sorry but this post is asinine. You cannot make large scale arrests during a riot or immediately following. Any attempt to do so will further incite the crowd. The best you can do is pick off the few trouble makers, and do your best to disperse the crowd with any means necessary.

Comparing a riot to one man openly defying a warning is just flat out ignorant. And that "sweet tune" very easily couldve been "**** the police" for all you know. But hey, keep assuming man.

“They're very, very hard to guard,” Notre Dame head coach Mike Brey said. “They're really good. And with Niang in the middle kind of wheeling and all those guys spreading you out, they're kind of a nightmare matchup. And they're men. They're really men.”

Nobody is saying that he deserved to get arrested, or that they are glad he did, or that he should be kicked from the team. But he was not complying with multiple complaint requests, so I get why the police felt it appropriate to escalate.

I just don't get how it is possible to arrest someone for a noise complaint. Ticket the crap out of him, but arrest him? I'm surprised that's even a thing. I'd think it would switch over to something else.
