Re: Irving Pic Holding Stop Sign At Riot

Can the entire football program take a RS year off? We need one. This year is going to be a disaster.

And if Irving is allowed to see one minute on the football field this fall, then both JP and Leath are complete frauds. Bubu's charges are dropped, and he doesn't see the court at all. And we could have used him, so don't even go there. Fred LOVED Bubu and thought he might start this year, before JP and Leath told him he wasn't to see the court.

There is a reason guys like David Irving are out there carrying stop signs through riots with big smiles on their faces. They don't respect Paul Rhoads and his ability to discipline his players. As someone else mentioned, the way Brackens treated Rhoads after one of the games last year probably should have gotten him booted off the team, but instead nothing. Gary holds people up at gunpoint, and nothing.

It's becoming a circus folks. And when you run a circus, expect to see crazy things that don't make sense.

The problem with your description of Irving's act is the part "maybe he picked it up & walked around with it because he thought it was funny". That only serves to encourage more people to damage things. Hey...they thought that was funny, well I can top that! And it escalates.
That's the thing... What if 10 guys tried to start a riot and nobody came? Not a riot. Drunk kids, drunk crowds, bad judgement, warm weather, etc... creates critical mass and kids get arrested, kids get hurt and kids get kicked off athletics teams.

I agree. There is no healthy "fear" of CPR. Affection for him, but no fear of his disapproval or for punishment from him.

What Irving did only incited more violence IMO.

It would appear that the police have a different point of view...literally AND figuratively.

This is going to be a tough football season to watch. Our offense better be ready to put up 100 each game... ugh.

I will tell you this, If I am CPR i suspend DI make him go thru serious internal punishment, community service, and then come fall have him go thru all the work outs all the practices and sit him every game and make him watch as our Dline is destroyed by Toledo.
Funny because we kinda sorta ran GMac out of here because he hit some bad luck with players.

Irving will not be eligible to play once hes no longer allowed to be a student...

Bull crap... Kids are kids and make bad decisions from time to time. Nothing seems to indicate the inmates are running the asylum. Young men full of testosterone and liquor in rowdy crowds do boneheaded things.
