    723.1 Riot.

A riot is three or more persons assembled together in a violent manner, to the disturbance of others, and with any use of unlawful force or violence by them or any of them against another person, or causing property damage. A person who willingly joins in or remains a part of a riot, knowing or having reasonable grounds to believe that it is such, commits an aggravated misdemeanor.

Honestly, I have seen some hilariously over the top ideas on this site, but kicking a guy out of the program for a picture in which he is holding a stop sign takes the cake. It's impressive. I don't know if this can be topped until an argument is made for a 3 game suspension for jaywalking.
Not saying he needs gone, but he was arrested for beating up his GF once. Not the first time he has been in a situation he shouldn't have been.

Kind of the same situation as Coe, cannot make the right choice in what he is doing.

I could be wrong though. Paul will figure it out.

Which turns out was a mistake by the police.

If he ripped it out of the ground or was part of any "rioting" or vandalism, that is a problem. If he came upon a downed stop sign and thought it would be funny to get a picture with it, that is fairly benign.

Honest question, what if he was keeping the sign from falling on someone? What if a kid was being chased by a cop with it so he gave it to Irving? How can you jump to conclusion when you no idea why he is even holding it?

Re: Irving Pic Holding Stop Sign At Riot

It's an encouragement to the ones who DID rip it out (if he didn't). It's participation. I don't know if I'm using the right terminology; I'm neither a LEO or a lawyer. But it seems to me that you can be arrested for "inciting a riot", can you not?

The problem I have with this is that so many people think nothing of Leath cancelling VEISHEA because of these stupid drunks, yet think that no one thinks anyone there is doing anything wrong - especially a football player. That's hypocritical.

That doesn't change just because one of them plays for the football team. Don't be homers, Irving is clearly a massive idiot.

Our defense was going to be horrid regardless.

    You are clueless.

He's being held out of spring ball because he's recovering from shoulder surgery. Hmmm....his shoulder doesn't look like it's hurting him too much now.

Re: Irving Pic Holding Stop Sign At Riot

Everyone is at fault according to some if they were in or around the riot. I was at Veisha for the 2004 riot, found myself in the middle of it, not because I wanted to but because I was at a party when the riot began. That make me a bad guy because I just happened to be around when it began and was stuck from going back to my buddies apartment due to the riot?

No one would be talking about DI if he was not a football player- that is hypocritical. It works both ways.

He'd be talked about because of the picture. We just wouldn't know his name.
