While I would love to land BJD..I wouldn't hold my breath just yet. He's likely going to see if he gets drafted first. Not saying he will be any means but he's likely looking at that first. Prob won't hire an agent..if he were smart any way.

Can you do that? I thought you had to affirmatively announce yourself as available for the draft and that doing so negated any remaining NCAA eligibility.

Once you sign an agent then you're done playing NCAA basketball. You can make yourself available to the draft and not sign an agent and if you don't get drafted you can go back to the NCAA.

I think you can submit your name to an NCAA draft board and they check your draft status for you. I also think there is a date when you either have to declare for the draft or stay in school.

Not that this means anything (because it doesn't) but as of yesterday morning, other than Anthony Lee, this was the only specific name I had heard that Iowa State was possibly targeting. Per this report, add it to what I heard, and it must be somewhat serious. Now that's not to say that the kid won't go elsewhere but the pieces of the puzzle fit with one another.

    Lotta round-a-bouts in here CW....

It does seem to be gaining a lot of steam though.

This would round out a great lineup. This kid could play a big guard or small forward position.

ISU could have 5 guys who could play on the front line. And we have like 4 or 5 guards.

Maybe our defense could get more aggressive because they would not have to worry about foul trouble as much. If ISU could turn up the D a bit, and with its offensive firepower, wow!

Announcing for the draft doesn't end your eligibility, per se.
Signing with an agent ends it once and for all.
There's a deadline for people testing the waters to withdraw and return to school. If you miss that deadline, your eligibility is over.

You have to withdraw your name from NBA draft by May 8th to retain your NCAA eligibility.
