Ejim had a great year this year that was much better than the 2012-13 year. If looking at strictly the 2012-2013 year versus next year for Hogue, I might actually take Hogue for next year. So I think next year's team looks better on paper than the 2012-2013 team.
That was my thinking as well. I probably give Babb the slight edge over Naz just because of defense and consistency. I wasn't sure on Monte, just because of the age/experience factor, but he definitely plays like more of a veteran than he is.

This thread may equal the RV thread in length, given the fact that CF members talk about future starting line-ups all the time.
    1. Starting line up threads in any sport
    2. complaining about Cyclone Alley
    3. People not ordering season tickets and then complaining about ticket prices/market value on the tickets later in the year.

CW- Great coverage of basketball over this past year, just outstanding. Thanks

Don't go to sleep on Thomas. He can flat out shoot it. He did struggle this year, but we know Fred believes he is a great shooter or he would not have had him in the starting lineup at the beginning of the year. I think Thomas will be a much more complete and confident player next year. I also think he and Naz will benefit from more Monte and less Kane. This should equal more spacing and less clearouts. This will equal better looks.

Agree with CW on starting five. I'd say the only locks as of now are Morris, Hogue, and Niang.

80% of Matt's misses from 3 seemed to go half way down and pop back out. He's obviously got a great shot and learned a ton about D1 Bball this year. When those shots start falling and his confidence goes up he'll be a great SG. I'm really excited about him.

Edozie did a solid job when asked but the only time Edozie is going to see time outside of garbage mins is if there is foul trouble or an injury.

I completely agree, he will be a 40-45% 3-point shooter before its over. Plus i think he is going to have a mid-range game that will feast off of his 3-point threat.

His defense will only get better. I thought he rebounded the ball fairly well for a freshman SG.

...or you may see him a little more before Mckay becomes eligible. Remember that this guy is extremely green when it comes to everything basketball. He hasn't been playing as long as most college players. Give Fred and Doc an off season to mold him a little bit and he might be a valuable tool next year (maybe have a ceiling of a Booker).

If Fred doesn't bring in another "big", then Edozie is going to be counted on quite a bit in the non conference if McKay is unable to play. And I'm fine with that. I like what Edozie gives us.

Obviously I hope McKay is allowed to play during the first semester, but if not, then Edozie will be fine IMO.

All of you are sleeping on Custer. I think having Custer will allow Morris to defend harder (this pick up ticky tack fouls) and not worry about it. Custer will play next year.

Branching off of the defense with depth (I know, I know) ISU will be able to contest every shot next year unlike this year.

I was going to say there are only two locks, as of right now, in MM and Georges, but the way Hogue ended the season, I can agree with this.

For the other 2 (or 3 spots), 'it's open season all summer long boys.'
