So you are saying being a fan of a particular team trumps style of play. Wow, you are really saying something there. Fans like to root for their favorite team no matter what.

I'd rather be a fan of a team with KU success, but I still cheer for ISU and not KU.

Hoping for a Michigan v Florida championship. That'd be a pretty exciting game to watch.

2 for 2 in final 4 teams. Likely to get 3 of 4 with Mich St tomorrow

Congrats, you matched my 12 year old niece!

One could argue that scoring has had more of an effect on attendance than winning has. In the Hilton era (1972-present)...

Teams in the top 10 (of 43) in wins and attendance:
    2014 - #2 wins, #2 attendance, (#6 scoring)
    2013 - #5 wins, #9 attendance, (#10 scoring)
    1986 - #8 wins, #3 attendance, (#18 scoring)

Teams in the top 10 of scoring and attendance:
    1988 - #1 scoring, #1 attendance, (#12 wins)
    1989 - #2 scoring, #7 attendance, (#16 wins)
    1990 - #4 scoring, #4 attendance, (#38 wins)
    2014 - #6 scoring, #2 attendance, (#2 wins)
    2013 - #10 scoring, #9 attendance, (#5 wins)

Teams in the top 10 of wins and scoring:
    2014 - #2 wins, #6 scoring, (#2 attendance)
    2013 - #5 wins, #10 scoring, (#9 attendance)
    1992 - #10 wins, #7 scoring, (#19 attendance)

The 32-5 team was 13th in scoring (78.3) and 32nd in attendance (10,543).

    Floyd's run:
    1995: 23-11, 16th in scoring (76.7), 15th in attendance (12,653)
    1996: 24-9, 35th in scoring (67.4), 24th in attendance (12,011)
    1997: 22-9, 34th in scoring (67.5), 21st in attendance (12,229)

Re: wisky/az; wow, is this boring or what?

Some of you haven't watched much of Wisconsin this year (that includes their own fans that now love them), and sound like other fans when they say ISU relies on nothing but 3 pointers. They've played much more uptempo than people realize.

The reason it was a slowed down game is because Wisky plays defense, and AZ didn't know what to do with it. Iowa State would struggle to score on them as well.

WI really slows the game down, but it works for them. I was really impressed with their 7 footer. ISU would struggle against the Badgers because they are so patient on offense and there defense moves to so well together. The only thing that I saw as a weakness is that they do not get back and cover for the dunk very well. AZ just didn't have the awareness or ability to throw the lobe for the dunk. There were certainly several opportunities.

I don't care what their stats are, Arizona has had several top ten recruiting classes with Miller as their coach recently, and while they're extremely athletic, they are horrible offensively.

They can't shoot, they don't have any sense of identity on offense.

Wisconsin plays great defense, and they spread the court, and shoot well. Kaminski's development has been their saving grace.

Going back to how stupid iola fans are, I had two tell me he should be picked ahead of Embid. This is going to be a recurring theme the next week as they try to pretend they had anything to do with the success of their three team conference.

I've loved hearing about Kaminsky's "footwork".

The kid must have been home sick, back in grade school, when they went over the whole "pivot foot" thing.
