That's cute. Care to tell me how one would more quickly find the final rankings from last year in mid April?

And why any of this is relevant?

I am using the ranking when they played. MSU was not ranked when they played. Neither was Nebraska.

And you are correct that there are rankings on the desktop site but not the mobile site.

They will even give you rankings from past seasons...

Its relevant because you appear to want to look like you have a clue what you are talking about but its obvious to everyone that you are clueless when you have to ask "how one would more quickly find the final rankings from last year in mid April?"

Re: Dowling Catholic's Ryan Boyle commits to the Hawks

Personally, I think it makes a lot more sense to go by the final season rankings when trying to determine the quality of teams that the Hawks or Cyclones beat. I don't know why anyone would argue otherwise. Sometimes teams are ranked who shouldn't be, and sometimes teams should be ranked that aren't. You never really know until you see how they finish the season. Thus, when judging the quality of opponents played you should look at their overall performance, not where they were at when the two teams met.

The only reason one would do the latter is if they are trying to strengthen the quality of their argument, or in other words, trying to make Iowa look worse than they actually were.

Luckily we didn't lose to an awful unranked Iowa basketball team this year then

When Fred Hoiberg is your coach you're always in basketball mode

Orrrr when the football team doesn't have a pulse I suppose that helps as well. Let's be honest.

Seriously. Mods can we shut this down? Or at least cave it? We're not even talking about Boyle anymore. Old news.

Re: Dowling Catholic's Ryan Boyle commits to the Hawks

    Who gives?

The Hawkeyes, who have lost six of their last seven games, were given a No. 11 seed and will be involved in one of the four first-round games by virtue of being one of the last four at-large teams to make the field. “It’s not a &%#$@%* play-in game!’’ McCaffery said when a reporter phrased it that way. McCaffery then hurled a bottle of G2 into the face of the reporter stating "you #$%*&@ idiot!".
