    2014-15 Potential Lineup Guesses

125- Larson (or Hall if he wants to go back down, but it sounds like he doesn't)
133- Hall (possibly a Freshman if Hall goes down to 125 or Larson)
    141- Meeks
    149- Gabe
    157- Molina
    165- Mike
    174- Weatherman
    184- Spoon
    197- Kyven
    HWT- Smith

Not a bad lineup. Just hope they can develop this summer. I really think Spoon can surprise people next year as long as spends time in the weight room this summer. I mean hell he won a match at nationals at 184 and was basically weighing around 174. Mike and Kyven will be high AA. If Earl can lift up to a 133 I expect him to AA as well. I think Gabe can AA at 149, but would be pleased with R12 as well. Weatherman should AA with all the seniors above him. The unkowns are Meeks and Larson IMO.

Actually I wouldn't be surprised to see Briceno break the line up at 157. I've heard the kid is a stud

Pretty close I would guess Luke Goettl and Danny Woiwor will be involved at 149/157 also.

    Woiwor would be 157.

Mean't that Goettl will battle for 149 or 157 and Woiwor for 157

Also hearing Briceno at 149 or 157

    Re: 2014-15 Potential Lineup Guesses

Can anyone provide insight on the progress made by non starters (redshirts especially) over the course of the year? Especially at our "trouble" weights -- 133, 141 (with Gabe moving up), 149, 157 and Hwt?

I'd like to hear about Meeks, Briceno and Woiwor. Also Hwt. It would be nice if there is someone to push/challenge Smith.

I am neither optimistic or pessimistic for next year. I simply feel that it will tell all with regard to the current staff. I have no idea which way things will go. Getting 9-10 guys qualified for nationals should be a benchmark.

    Re: 2014-15 Potential Lineup Guesses

Meeks went 12-1 at 141. His only loss was to Dardanes of Minnesota (seeded 6th at NCAAs this year, ended up R12). But he didn't really face any other top level competition. His best win was a 5-4 OT victory over Gustavo Martinez of Grandview, who took 2nd at the NAIA tournament. So tough to say much about his redshirt year. He definitely didn't do poorly. But a few small injuries prevented him from competing much.

Briceno and Woiver both had winning records but no really impressive wins. Also few or no bad losses. I don't know if I'd expect either of them to challenge for spots next year unless they make big strides over the summer. I think they need another year or two before they'd be ready to step into the lineup.

No Heavyweights in the pipeline unless there is a JuCo guy we don't know about yet.
