Re: Great threads at The Boneyard...UCONN message boards

Here's a gem from their forum

Like KO says, coaching is overrated. Players win games. Hoiberg didn't win the game today. Kane and Long did.
Yeah guys, coaching is so overrated. That's why Stanford beat a team of essentially 5 McDonald's All Americans...it had nothing to do with coaching. That's why Diante Garrett doubled his per game point average and became an NBA player after working with Hoiberg for one season, and how DeAndre Kane increased his 3 point shooting from 26% in 3 years at Marshall to 40% in under one year of working with Hoiberg.

Are you kidding me? For a fan base that's won a national championship or two, some of these guys know jack **** about the sport. Yes, I know UConn fans are reading this too.

Napier is really good, and Boatright is pretty good too.

    UConn must be destroyed.
Me too, but UNC's bigs were absolutely killing us late in the second half and we still found a way to win.

    UConn's fan base:

Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice?
Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

If UConn't fans think we're cocky, I'd like them to know that I haven't even started on their little team.

UConn will be destroyed. Too bad for them they got in the way.

I got this when visiting their site... yea... never going back there.

A lot of them are wanting revenge against us from 2012. It's kind of nice having other teams want revenge, so used to us being the one that wants the revenge.

    No.

They screamed and cried about being a 7 seed and a worse seed than UMass when they got to play a horrible Nova team in the second round. Any fanbase with a brain would be thrilled to get Nova rather than a Michgan St or LVille 2nd game.

I have faith the Cyclones will even bring as many fans to MSG as them. (Don't sit in the 400s if you've never been to MSG they are awful spend extra to get into the 200s.)

I hope that their far superior athletic department is enjoying its time in the American Athletic Conference. UConn = mid-major program.

You feel the floor give you a little tingle, man, Iowa State junior point guard Monte Morris said in a private moment after the game, leaning against a wall in the bowels of Hilton Coliseum. You feel it. You feel it. Its real. You feel it on the court. Its a tough feeling to explain. Its a vibration. It gets you going.

    He paused.

    Its magic.
