The only two teams that laid eggs were OU and KU.

    Re: Big 12

Anybody who paid attention this season and has half a brain would know that Kansas was so good because of Embiid. They are and were very beatable without him and today showed it. Oklahoma State suffered a bad loss of their big man Cobbens. If he didn't go down, they would have been in better position all year. NDSU beats Oklahoma at OT and it just seemed like NDSU wanted it more.

And for people who complain about the refs all the time - you can always think now about how when games are called more fairly, sometimes the teams that have been winning in conference don't always win and visa versa.

And the Big Ten is better? Nice generic user name and 2 post history. Go back to Hawkeye Nation.

    Re: Big 12

The conference had the best RPI collectively in the country, and had some decent teams. Teams were not real dominant and pretty inconsistent throughout.

    No surprises here.

    Re: Big 12

Seed wise we didnt exactly underperform.

KU- 2 seed (seed expected elite 8) but no embiid.
ISU- 3 seed (seed expected sweet 16) - TBD, but Niang injury means even with a loss wouldnt be underperforming
Baylor- 6 seed (seed expected round of 32) achieved, and ceiling TBD
Texas- 7 seed (seed expected round of 32 - made round of 32 and lost to a team seed expected to reach the elite 8.
Oklahoma- Upset in first round. Underperformed.
Oklahoma State - 9 seed - by seed not expected to win first round.
Kansas State- 9 seed - by seed not expected to win first round.

When people talk about the big 12 being the best conference it isnt because we're loaded with elite teams, its because we're loaded with NCAA quality teams. Other than TCU, you cant take a break in the big 12 schedule because everyone is a top 100 team.

    Re: Big 12

Big 12 was overrated. Rational people could see it but not the fan boys. Hopefully Iowa State can salvage what little dignity is left in this league by advancing today. I'm already preparing myself for a Baylor letdown.

    Re: Big 12

march madness has a lot to do with matchups.... OU should've beat NDSU, OSU and the purple kitties probably played the toughest 8 or 9 seeds in the tournament. UT made it to where they should've based on rankings, BU is still in, and KU probably would've won today had they had Embid, We have yet to play.

If you look around the brackets, though, a lot of teams are falling. It's probably been beaten to death, but we just don't have dominant teams in the tourney this year overall. Look at the Big 10 or the ACC, etc. Teams are falling. Wisconsin didn't deserve a 2 seed, and would have lost if they weren't playing a home game yesterday. Early high seeding makes a big difference, and the Big 12 didn't get a lot of it. Lots of teams have looked poor in this tournament. It is possible the Big 12 was overrated, but I think you could say that about a lot of conferences this year.

As far as Kansas, perhaps they didn't deserve a two seed because of the injury to Embid, but with him, they are a great team. So overrated by getting a 2? Probably because of the injury.

OSU was awful and KSU didn't not play well against a vastly overrated Kentucky team. Texas also got blasted by Michigan. The only teams not to lay an egg so far are us and Baylor.

Um no. It was BS when Kansas fans posted Fred's son, and it's BS to post KU fans. Kids showing emotion is off limits.

    Re: Big 12

KU isn't the same team without Embiid.

OU has no defense at all, and that killed them.

OSU has a lot of players that believe they can just show up and win without putting forth the effort. Bad coaching.

Texas did fine. Won their first game as expected, and then lost to a much higher seeded Michigan team.

KSU had a horrible 8-9 matchup with a really good Kentucky team that is peaking.

    Baylor is still in it.

Iowa State is still in it, although now without one of their best players.

Overall, I do think the Big 12 and Big 10 were overrated though. The Big 12 was really deep, but nobody that was really dominant.
