Everyone seems to want a slasher for next season, by watching his videos, I think this guy could fit the bill.

He would fit in perfectly, Naz and Matt cannot get to the rim and finish very will, even Monte missed his share of penetration shots. Need that slasher.

Agreed. A slasher is a 3rd dimension to go with Niang and Monte on initiating offense. Basically he would get us back to where we are with Kane.

Ha, I hadn't yet moved on from his ability to drive and finish.

He also led UNLV in assists as a combo guard.

Slasher or shooter, either one would open up the offense. Fred will tailor the offense to what he ends up with.

Isn't Nader already a bit of a slasher?

I had thought he'd be similar game to Ejim with better ball skills but less of a post presence.

My guess on nader is like Hogue slashing to the basket and then Ejim from the perimeter. He is a good jumpshooter from what I could tell from the Fred Hoiberg Show special

I thought Naz was a fantastic finisher by the end of the year. Monte needs some serious work, though.

It's extremely untraditional, but should we get BJD and another big that can play right away, it would be nice to see Thomas and/or Custer redshirt.

While both would receive playing time, it wouldn't be as much as they would probably like, and it would be an extra year for them to improve. I mean, depth is nice, but we potentially have an 11 man deep rotation. That's unheard of.

80% of his shots for the year were 3 pointers. In the last 5 games Naz only took 4 2 point FG's.

11 deep, and an 11 man rotation can be different. It is good that we could go 11 deep and call on a guy like Edozie when needed (foul trouble against size, or injury), but we would not have an 11 man rotation. I doubt we would see more than 9 consistently play, and the 9th would likely be a low average (situational shooter role?)..

Which is why I would prefer those two redshirt. Though, this situation is all in my head. If it's how the team is now, no way in hell I want them redshirting. They're both talented. I just think their talent can be more utilized later on should we get a solid post and BJD.

Yeah, but it's not like he can't go inside. His job is to be outside. He drove in a few times.
