Never once did I see Rampton "work his butt off." Not once.

Why must people continue to defend lousy players?

    Both these kids were horrible.

People bring up past players on here all the time.

How is this different? Oh yeah, it wasn't peachy and rosy.

What has Tony done to you? He was a role player, right he was no Hoiberg, or Fizer, but he did what he was asked to do. I can assure you, if he was not working his butt off in practice everyday, he would have never stepped foot on the floor for a game.

Re: Ricky Morgan or Tony Rampton?

I agree totally brianhos. Not only is it a mean-spirited and totally unnecessary post, but both of these guys played a long time ago, particularly Rampton.

I actually think that once Ricky Morgan transferred, he had a decent career. As it was, he was hardly at Iowa State long enough to make any sort of impact, whether positive or negative.

And Rampton was an Olympian for New Zealand, if I remember correctly.

Plus, I think he occasionally gave us some good minutes off the bench.

Re: Ricky Morgan or Tony Rampton?

ya Ricky played pretty well at UNLV.. and i thought Ricky was a decent player just not in the right system here

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."
