ISU women get some love -Holiday games can play big come March (espn)

ESPN - Holiday games can play big come March - Women's College Basketball

Mr Charlie Creme notes the ISU @ MN game

    Iowa State at Minnesota:
The Cyclones are far more tournament-comfortable at this juncture than Minnesota, but both could be in the bubble discussion come mid-March. And as solid as ISU has been, most notably on defense, this would be its best win. Bowling Green also rolls into Ames just after Christmas. The Gophers' schedule is nothing but Big Ten after this one, and to have victories over ISU and Louisville would be an enormous boost for a team that has been a slight surprise so far.

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

I want the Bookie event. Going to bet the house on the ladies.

Hopefully there won't need to be a discussion in March regarding the tournament.

If they do go to the tourney is it most likely that they will play the 1st round games here in DM at Wells Fargo arena?

I ask because I can pre-order tickets through my employer...

If ISU makes the NCAA Tournament, they are guaranteed to play in Des Moines. That's one of the perks of hosting the first two rounds.

I'll second the request for a cybookie. Even though the girls will be on the road, I'll put 90K on them. So come on bookies, set it up.
