Parcells to Atlanta? But not as coach...

ESPN - Sources: ESPN's Parcells considering vice president offer from Falcons - NFL

    Interesting.

I do think Bill is a good "fix-it" guy, but this would be his toughest task and his first time doing it as something other than head coach.

It would be hard for the new coach to come in and work for a guy with the resume Parcells has.

I don't see this working. Parcells is a head coach... I don't think he could direct a coach successfully.

ya i dont know about this..

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

Re: Parcells to Atlanta? But not as coach...

As the resident Falcons fan I don't get warm fuzzies about this either. Excluding what he did with the Giants, the guy has shown the tendency to bolt either when he gets a better offer (left the Patriots for the Jets) or when the going gets tough (the Jets and the Cowboys). Plus his presence alone leaves the chemistry of the organization unbalanced, and by the time he leaves it's in upheaval. I like the guy's football mind, but the last thing the Falcons need at this point is someone who might leave the place more talented but overall in more disarray than it already is.
