    Re: Doug

If he doesn't come back, I'm sure the only reason would be because he's sure of being drafted. And if that's the case, best of luck to the young man. Any problems I might have with his father don't extend to him, he seems like a good kid.

I hope for Doug's sake he goes pro. His stock will never be higher and the draft is weak. The timing couldn't be better.

I understand he wasn't the best coach for ISU, but really people are still having problems with this guy? If we look at it objectively he did what he could at ISU realized it wasn't working and moved on. Good for him. I am not saying I agree with what he did while here, but to say we have problem with him still seems a little crazy. Take a breath and let it go.

Redemption? Why do we need redemption at all?

    HA! So true.

One thing I don't get is the way people have obsessed over this. Yeah, it was bad, things got ugly for the BBall team, but people act like he pulled a snow job here and the only reason he came here was to drive ISU into the ground. I'm sure he came here with the best intentions, just be happy we got out of it so easily and let it go.

I can't stand the dad for driving all the players out of Ames and not recruiting the son; used to be OK with the son, but that elbow he threw in the kid's face in the tournament was ugly, and seemed intentional since he had to lift his elbow up over his shoulder to do it.

I don't understand the Rag's obsession with the McDermotts either. Marcus Paige is an Iowa kid but they don't run a story on him every week.

I agree about his stock being the highest right now; can't / won't make a 3-peat as All-American next year.

    Re: Doug

Doug is very good and he does it against all the competition he's played. I just do not see it translating to the NBA for some reason.

I wonder what advice Craig Brackins would give him?

You mean ripping the ball through? You are either haven't played much basketball or are letting your emotions cloud your judgement.
