Thought of that one, too, might be the next rung below some of the others. Domination of Notre Dame in '13 was satisfying, too (although it didn't involve defending champion).

I don't usually get overconfident prior to ISU games, but I liked our chances going into both those round-of-64 games.

Gawd, why can't we just call it "first round"?

The most crowd-electric FB game in ISU history (since challenged by OSU game) ended in a tie.

    Several BB games contend.

That is one of the DUMBEST things the NCAA has done regarding the tournament - calling the play-in games "first round". Second dumbest is having the newly named "first-round games" play to enter at higher seeds (screws with any kind of bracket pool you can come up with. If they weren't good enough to get into the dance outright, then they should play in to the 16th seed. Screw this playing the 11th or 13th seed, or two play-ins in one bracket garbage!

Yeah, who wants to beat their rival anyway? Only idiots I guess. I'd rather worry about what Iowa fans say, too.

The second UCLA game was definitely on Friday, because it was followed up with the Loss to MSU on Sunday, which was the last game of the Elite 8 - So technically ISU was one of the last 5 teams still playing.

I don't specifically remember on the Tim Floyd one. I do remember it was a LAAAAAAATE game, (as was the unspeakable loss to the fighting Inns).

No matter what, I could NEVER cheer for Dirt and Urine.
