Do you see 6 in a row in Big 12 Conf. Play?

After this current tough stretch of Conference games, and looking ahead on the schedule, do you see winning 6 conf. games in a row with the following slate in Feb:

    Feb 8th home vs. TCU
    Feb 10 at WVU
    Feb 15 home vs. Tech
    Feb 18 home vs. Texas
    Feb 22 at TCU
    Feb 26 home vs. WVU

Streak ends Mar 1 at KSU

Do you think we will need 6 in a row to climb up in the seedings/rankings? I think winning 6 conf. games in a row has never been done in ISU history, could be another streak this team strives for.

I think all 6 are winnable. At West VA would be the toughest, followed by at TCU.

So if if lose tonight at KU, beat OU in Ames, and then lose in Stillwater (have not won there since 1988 or 1989?), that puts us at 4-5 in conf. play, but still one game ahead of last year's pace. With this potential 6 game winning streak, we can be 10-5, going into KSU, and going into Baylor, and home against Okie St.

I think if we can get these 6 in a row, we could hold on to a top 4 seed in the March. If we drop any of these games, we could drop into that 7, 8, 9 seed area.

    Thoughts?

Even in Stillwater? I know we came close last year? Is this the year we break through?

That would be a nice steal of a win if we can win at Stillwater! That would put us +2 from last year.

Yeah, because Texas is a pushover this year.

I think we can do it but @WVU being the toughest is wrong.

I actually think the game vs Texas will be the toughest one of them all in this stretch. They have already beaten us once, and have been on a little streak of their own lately.

I believe our last win @ Ok St was 87-88 but I could be off. I just did a quick check through old seasons.

Yes. I think we can also win at OSU. Will be difficult but they are really missing Cobbins in the middle. Smart is playing really frustrated right now.

I think we'll win down at KSU. Kind of seems like Fred will get the better of that match-up more often than not.

I think that ISU had BETTER win all six of those games or they are in trouble. The only win that would be seen as a good win is at home vs. Texas and even that game should be an expected win. The other five are simply bad losses if they happened. Those really should all be expected wins.

No, I think ISU probably lets one slip in that stretch. Team is more than capable of winning them all just hasn't show the consistency to win all of those. @WVU would be my bet, better team than the record indicates and even though Texas looks very good its easier to get away with uneven play at home than it is on the road.

I think we'll lose one of those six. Wish it wasn't so. But, I wouldn't be surprised if they win all 6 as well.

I think we'll finish 11 - 7 or 12 - 6 in conference depending on whether or not we lose one during that stretch.

Yeah you are right. Wednesday, March 2nd, 1988. Cyclones won 97-88. I would have been almost 4 years old... Ronald Reagan was the president. Holy cow it's been a long time. I can't wait until we win down there again!
