Oklahoma in Ames vs Ok State in Stillwater

To me it seems like Oklahoma is underated...they looked absolutely amazing vs a good Ok State team. I think we can take down Ok State in Stillwater...but as far as Oklahoma in Ames...I'm very worried about it. What are your thoughts about Oklahoma and Ok State? I know we have Kansas first...but to me it seems as if our main problem will be Oklahoma...because all Ok State has is Phil Forte...and Oklahoma has EVERYONE. Sonners I predict..will make it into the top 10.

Re: Oklahoma in Ames vs Ok State in Stillwater

Not nearly as concerned about OU as you. We don't lose at home unless that opponent has KU on their jersey. We will take care of OU in Hilton about the same way we did with KSU. One thing I do agree with you is that OSU is looking very vulnerable in Stillwater next week. We should have beat them the last 3 trips down there.

One thing I liked about watching that Bedlam game last night was that Spangler killed OSU on the glass worse than he did against us. Made me feel a little better about blowing that game to OU a few weeks ago.

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

Did you forget we played OU in Norman and lost by 5? And at no point were we as dominated as OSU was last night.

OU is a very good team, but we still have a much better shot at beating them at home than we do beating OSU on the road. We will be favored in the rest of our home games.

With that said, OU has a nice little lead in the race for 2nd because of their win @ Texas.

They are a good team, and could easily do some damage in the tourney if their shots are falling.

Re: Oklahoma in Ames vs Ok State in Stillwater

I think OSU will be tougher than it should be just due to the short turnaround after OU on Saturday. Otherwise, I would feel fairly comfortable predicting a win at Gallagher-Iba for the first time in forever...

OU at Hilton should be a good game but I think we win by low double-digits. We had our 'lull' in performance for the year - we get everything clicking again and finish strong in my opinion.

Unlike last year, we have OU at HOME after our KU game...even if we lose a heartbreaker in the Phog, our home crowd will negate any bad juju from that. Full disclosure - I think we in @KU tomorrow as well...

    I'd put likelihood rank at:
    1. Beat OU, lose at OSU
    2. Lose both
    3. Lose to OU, win at OSU
    4. Win both

We really needed OSu to win last night, to put some pressure on OU going on the road. they will come into Hilton playing loose. OU is playing very well right now, they are not a good defensive team, but are very good on offense, have alot of guys who can shoot it and they get to the line a bunch, that is one thing that helped us some in Norman was keeping Woodard off the line. The key last night was they got so much production from their bench. Clark and Heild had average games. Kruger is the coach of the year in Big12 right now and OU is definitely a top 15 team. They are also young, so will be tough for years to come. Won three league road games already with young team, impressive!

    Never heard of this team...

Sooners are good, but Okie St. is still missing Cobbins/depth. Teams will have down games, but to say Okie State just has Forte is flat out ridiculous and laughable. I'm guessing this is a troll statement and you haven't seen them play outside of last night.

Smart, Nash and Brown? Do you have amnesia?

OU is playing their best right now, but like others have pointed out, their defense isn't top 25. They are similar to how we were last year. Make shots and run the floor hard for shootout games. I think the only difference is, Spangler is a machine underneath that other teams are having trouble containing.

Win both should be flipped with lose both. OSU isn't playing that great, and you don't just waltz into Hilton and waltz out with a win.

Re: Oklahoma in Ames vs Ok State in Stillwater

I feel pretty good about our odds of beating OSU on the road. They are one of the more overrated teams in the country, plus they don't have a guy like Spangler from OU to take advantage of our lack of size. I think we beat OU in Hilton too, but the road game at OSU is much more winnable than I thought going into this year.

This is the problem with watching one game and basing the entire rest of the season off of it. It makes even less sense when it's the winning home team that everyone suddenly thinks will hit the top 10.

We beat OU in Ames and break the streak in GIA against OSU. KU will be a loss.
