    RECRUITING: Tidbit on J.T. Gray

I'm hearing that after visiting this weekend, J.T. Gray will receive an in-home visit from members of the Iowa State coaching staff tomorrow.

It sounds like if Mississippi State doesn't have room for him, there's a good chance that he could end up at Iowa State. Not hearing of any other schools in on him at this time.

Isn't he scheduled for a visit to Miss. St. this weekend? Any word if that's still a go?

He's listed as an athlete on Rivals. Does anyone know what position he is most likely to end up at?

Wally's defense will be the most talented its ever been in 2-3 years.

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

Pretty sure he's visiting a school this weekend. Won't post where since it was on $ site.

Not to be a downer but in 2-3 years it might be Shane's defense

Re: RECRUITING: Tidbit on J.T. Gray

Do people think Shane will be DC just because he's Wally's son? Or because of the great work he's done as assistant DL coach?

I had heard that he was going to. Got conflicting information this afternoon though. My guess is that he will take the visit but I'm not 100 percent sure. Still trying to get ahold of him.

I have heard from numerous former defensive players in the Rhoads era that Shane is a brilliant defensive mind and is very well respected. I don't know if he will replace Wally, but I certainly do know that he will be the front-runner.

Do you think he will become full DL coach then? And bring in an assistant for him?
