Pretty sure HJ's also covers the bottom of their pizza pans in a melted garlic butter like substance. My BIL has had them shipped to him up at Minneapolis and he says they aren't the same. The pan (and whatever is in it) is what makes the difference.

    Re: Well hello there..

The sauce definetely makes the taco pizza and that is where a lot of pizza chains go wrong with their's. As for HJ's, we used a sauce that was predominately bean based with more mexican seasoning than italian. Next we put on the meat before the cheese which is backwards from other pizzas. Mexican seasoned ground beef and basic sausage. Then cheese with more cheddar than mozz. Cook that and then add lettuce, chips and tomatoes. If you want to get crazy, add black olives and jalepenos before cooking and add sour cream afterwards on top. That was the "taco supreme".

Damn, forgot taco sauce! Those little packets of love are like kryptonite. If you ever wanted to get someone really ******, deliver a taco pizza and only put in 2-3 packets in the box.

The part outside of the parentheses will ensure the part inside the parentheses doesn't happen.

As a married man, just assume that nothing that that takes place on your wedding day will be your choice...unless it happens to align with your fiancee's choices that she's been thinking about since she was 5 years old.

For sauce, I mix refried beans and pizza sauce in a 1:1 ratio. Is that right?

I'm stumped on whether the meat is sausage, taco-seasoned beef, or some other kind of meat.

And I'm completely stumped on what type of pizza crust to use. Did they do anything special with the crust on those pizzas?
Happy Joe's is VERY overrated. No offense to our new member. The Taco Pizza is their best creation, everything else is just plain boring.

I would say they are pretty pricey before I would say they are overrated.
