This error has to be intentional.

    Re: Pregnant lady cravings

My wife didn't have anything overly odd. McDonald's hamburgers though became a staple, which is only strange because my wife never has liked eating anything at McDonald's. The other was a cherry dipped cone from Dairy Queen. One night she is freaking, yelling at me to go get her one, but I was kind of laughing because it was 11pm in February. Not only is it too late for DQ to be open, but our DQ used to only be open from March to November. Anyways, first day it was open again, I bought 2 boxes of the cherry coated dilly bars and hid them in the chest freezer downstairs. This way, when the midnight craving hit, I had the fix ready for her.

If you can still eat it. Your normal likes/dislikes can get messed up.

Barbecue sauce makes me go from 0 to barf in about three seconds while pregnant - but I sometimes crave beef (steak, prime rib, hamburgers), when I usually eat about 90% chicken.

My wife's first craving was barbecue sauce.....the very next day, it was Oreos. I'm glad I didn't have to witness the two put together.

    Re: Pregnant lady cravings

With most of my pregnancies I became aversive to chicken; we usually eat a meal with chicken breasts 2-3x a week. With my last pregnancy I wanted McDonalds chicken sandwiches--obviously I had refined my taste for chicken. ;) I never really had "cravings", but Quiznos got me through my last pregnancy. RIP Quiznos. Great Plains for lunch was also a staple, I think this is why at least my last three kids all love Great Plains. They either got to eat lunch with me or survived on it in the womb.

I was at Hy Vee at 2:30 a.m one day just to get my wife Strawberry pop. I made sure before I left for work everyday that I had strawberry pop at home. It's the one thing she had to have. She woke me up at 2:15 when I had to work the next morning and made me go buy some.

    Re: Pregnant lady cravings

My wife ate a belgian waffle about every day for 5 months with our first. For our second, she craved McDonalds fries. Pretty sure she wanted me to match her pound for pound.

She also had an aversion to chicken which sucked. She's allergic to pork, so taking two proteins out of a dedicated carnivore's diet made for some creative meals. I single handedly ate an entire herd of cattle.

Should have told her to go get it herself. That always goes well I hear.

I don't know that there is anything that could stop me from liking ice cream. I would probably cry a lot if that did happen though.

I assume you still left for 15 minutes of silence before coming home and heading straight to the freezer yes?

    Re: Pregnant lady cravings

I read the thread title as: Janny is craving a Pregnant Lady

    Whatever works for you Janny.

My Ex-wife, for our first son, vomited like clockwork every day after work. 5:30 on the dot most of the time. She ate Turkey sandwiches and macaroni and cheese most of the time. This was before she found out that pregnant women aren't supposed to eat lunch meat that much. Kids fine though.

Here's a story. One night she ate her usual Mac and Cheese. Shortly after that she bolts off the couch sprinting for the bathroom. Didn't make it and puked on the living room carpet. It took forever to get that stain out of the carpet. Probably the yellow dye #5 or whatever int he mac and cheese. Of course I had to clean it up or the smell would make her yack again.

With our second son she didn't really get sick at all and ate normally.
