    Focus T25 workout?

I'm wondering if anyone has had a chance to get or try Focus T25 yet? I've never done any of these types of DVD excercises (Insanity, P90X) but I think I'd like to try. I love the fact it's only 25 minutes. Not really wanting to drop a hundred bucks on something that might not be a good fit.

So anybody try this workout yet?

I've done 3 rounds of Insanity and P90x a couple of times. I did just one workout with T25 and I think I'm going to like it. More like Insanity then P90x. I'm going to go full boar with it once I get back from vacation.

    Thanks for the review dmclone.

I woke up this morning and the infomercial was on. I've done a few weeks of Insanity before, but just didn't have the time (or maybe it's my commitment). I started downloading T25 this morning and look forward to trying it out.

    Re: Focus T25 workout?

It is a lot of plyometrics so if you have bad knees or ankles you might want to try something else. It's not a strength building program as much as it is cardio improvement and weight loss. Good luck!

I'd like to try T25 as well. Bought P90X a while back but it's not really my thing. I want more of the cardio type workout. That said, if anyone wants to buy P90X off me, shoot me a message.

    Re: Focus T25 workout?

I've been doing Insanity for months now - haven't tried T-25 yet, but from everything I've seen, it's a bit like Insanity-lite. So like mtown said, if doing lots of jumps/lunges are hard on your body, might want to steer clear. The focus is really more cardio, unlike P90X which seems to be a lot more focused on the strength aspect.

I'd like to try it but I don't want to feel like I'm wimping out by not doing 40-60 minutes anymore!

Depends if you do the classic or lean workouts. I have done both and thought using the lean program was a pretty good cardio workout. I don't have t25 but have done a couple of the workouts and I love it. p90x3 is out now and I think that is all 30 mins which was the huge knock against the originals as they could get very long.
I take a p90x class and like that the best because once you learn the moves in the first week you can skip that part and get right through the workout pretty quickly. Most are around 40 mins when you take the fluff out which you can't do with the videos.

Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.

I want to try the new P90x 3. The 30 minute workout works better for me. I have done p90x in the past and it works great. Just so long every night.

    Re: Focus T25 workout?

Thanks for the comments from all. I did both P90x and Insanity, but could only commit to about 75% of the program(s) due to time commitment and difficulty level.

Actually found an old, pre-P90x workout video from Tony called Fat Burner that is a great 37 minute cardio workout.

So very interested in T25. Does it require bands or any of the pullup exercises? I just want cardio/ply with little strength.

T25 is great, but man my calves and arches are sore.

How about knees? I did insanity last year and it took about 2 weeks to get my knees acclimated. Was looking at T25 as well, so thanks to the OP for this thread. It's hard to commit 1hr 20 minutes to a workout for me. Needing something shorter.

Ah, that's a bit of a concern as I tore my miniscus several years ago and as such wouldn't consider myself as having "good knee's". Only thing is that strength training really seems to help my knees though. Last year I was in pretty good shape and my knee's felt great. Maybe this is what I need.

Thanks for all the comments and keep them coming!

Another thing, has anyone heard of a place you can download a few of the sessions to try out?

I've never tried anything that was as bad for my knees as a Insanity. T25 can't be worse.

    Re: Focus T25 workout?

Good thread idea. I've done insanity, but the 60 minute month 2 workouts are a burden. I'm now thinking of trying this since most of the reviews are positive.
