Kane has to perfect his flopping to be in the same class as Smart. I haven't seen him do it yet.

As far as "putting up stats" goes.

Nobody has put up Kane's cumulative points-assists-rebounds numbers since Evan Turner, four seasons ago

Smart has the overall edge in flash and talent as he is a truly special player, but if you need a guy to put his ego aside and just win the game, I'll take Kane.

Marcus can skid his butt backwards twenty feet. That is a high bar to meet.

Re: 1. Is DeAndre Kane the Big 12's second-best guard after Marcus Smart?

You saw how tough Kane would be to stop if he could hit 3's consistently. He would be NBA bound.

    He has:

    NBA size
    NBA athleticism
    NBA post play
NBA passing ability and decision making
    NBA caliber Defense
He's a combo guard which is perfect for an NBA 2 guard

The only hole in his game is that you can sag off him because he generally can't shoot well from outside.

He'll be in the league, it may be as a back-up point, but he'll be in the league.

How many has he take this year? That % could easily change after this game. By what the announcers were saying, my math says, he'd only taken 20 3 pt. shots this year. So making 4 tonight could be a big boost

What happened with people who were sad about Bubu getting kicked off the team?

Kane beats Smart in maturity. Smart takes shots with his athleticism and he can be out of control sometimes. Kane seems to take only smart shots within his limits.

Smart is crazy good, maybe the number 1 pick. Kane is really good too though.

Sort of different players though, and they have different games. Kane is a real real problem to matchup with, not sure what people are going to do with him down the road, really a complete player.

Agree, but Smart might not even be top 5 if his outside shooting continues on the same track it's on.
