    [QUOTE=Firefighter4Cy;3771549]CBB's Top 10 Sleeper Teams

    Came across this little gem this morning. Take a gander at #1 on this list. Also Iowa pops in at #5. So if they are final four sleeper potential what does that make us?[/QU

    I don't understand the obsession with gingers. I'm not offended but I don't get it. Yes, I know Iowa has a couple...big deal.

    Re: CBB's Top 10 Sleeper Teams

    ISU is on an upward trajectory right now in every area - one day break to get Matt and Naz back on their game from 3 and I like our chances. I think this turns into a bloodbath about 3 minutes in to the second half - we'll just wear them out and take away their second-chance points by out-rebounding and getting stops when we need it. Boise will put some points up but we are just a more balanced team overall.

    ISU - 99
    Boise - 79

    Agreed. It was funny at first but it is overdone now.

    Kind of like "Baylor just dunked again". Funny has a shelf life. I admit that it had a long shelf life with me for some reason.

    Too good to make this list of mid-majors.

    Apparently Iowa has Final Four sleeper potential. That should tell you what you need to know about that list.

    Probably has to do with all of the pictures of helpless hawks getting dunked on, which is something we all can enjoy thoroughly.

    The fact that they don't have souls is intriguing.

    Re: CBB's Top 10 Sleeper Teams

    As far as Iowa as a tournament team, anyone else think that their non conference schedule could keep them out, they lost to two credible tournament teams (Vilanova, ISU) and beat two teams that will be lucky to squeak in ND and Xavier. If they do get in they will have to be pretty darn good in conference, something like 12-6 with several upsets (Wisc, Mich, MSU) ect.

    BSU will test the team's perimeter defense. IDK if BSU's inside game is equal to our team's, but our guards will be tested thoroughly.

    I think this assessment is very accurate as Iowa realized this potential last year, and may do so again this year if they live up to their potential.
