    Re: WWE News/Discussion

I laughed when the crowd didn't give a crap about Cena vs. Orton or Batista winning the Rumble.

CM Punk apparently left the WWE upset with the direction and being burnt out.

Interesting if true. I would imagine he's a big enough star at this point (and still enough in his prime) that WWE would let him cool off for a few months and then make a couple concessions to get him to come back.

You'd like to believe this royally screws up their plans for 'Mania, but sadly it didn't seem like they had anything amazing in the works for him anyway. If anything this probably guarantees that they'll circle the wagons around guys they're comfortable with and end any talk of moving away from the Cena-Batista program.

    Re: WWE News/Discussion

Sounds like he was ****** with how the rumble went.

Sad if he's done for good. He brought WWE back to relevance with his famous speech sitting on the ramp. The company was really dying at the time and people were sick of it. Kind of how it is now. It would be interesting to see if they try and get him to come back and do the same thing again.

Good for punk if not kayfabe. He's really a fan's superstar, as bad as Cena-Orton-Batista predictable crap is for us it has to completely suck balls for the more over superstars like Punk and Bryan.

Steph and HHH are running WWE into the ground. Only reason to watch is Daniel Bryan.

My guess is this won't be on the show. He just didn't show up for Raw and Smackdown, and WWE has told him they aren't scheduling him anymore. Not much they can do on the show.

Then again, they could find a tape of him getting kicked during the rumble and say he tore his acl.

I agree which is why I can see this as a total stunt to just give Punk a break and fully recharge his body. Then he'll come back at mania and start a feud with whoever gets the belt, most likely Batista unfortunately.

The WWE thinks they are so smart with their blurring the lines through Social Media and Reality TV but it's just a ploy because they are bereft of unique ideas and also incapable of producing unpredictable storylines.

That being said, they may be completely trolling us with Bryan, Punk, Batista, etc. Bryan and Punk could be headlining Mania and Batista could be getting pwned by Undertaker who knows. It just seems to me that the ratio of crap to payoff is leaning more and more to the crap side.

They've missed a completely obvious angle and possible start to a great era by not pitting the "indie or "Outsider"" guys vs. the "WWE guys" aka steroided out spray tanned freaks. Can you imagine how much pop a Bryan and Punk led faction with Paul Heyman as the mouthpiece would get?

    Re: WWE News/Discussion

Sounds like he was planning to leave when his contract expired in July, and now wasn't happy with Batista winning the Rumble. Also that he thought Bryan should main event WrestleMania. Punk was supposed to face HHH at WrestleMania, and now it might be Bryan vs HHH instead.

I enjoy watching the more normal looking guys like Punk and Bryan much more than "enhanced" guys.

    Re: WWE News/Discussion

If this is real then good for him. Signing with TNA would be a good idea. There was a rumor that Punk was going to be a main focus of the summer, sort of like what happened in 2011. There were also rumors of Batista turning heel after Wrestlemania and that the crowd at the Royal Rumble changed booking plans for WWE. Maybe this is the result of that? IDK, I just really hope he isn't gone. I can't stand the thought of Batista, Sheamus, Orton, and Cena headlining every single PPV for the rest of the year.
