Big 12 Men's Basketball Tournament Tickets

As season ticket owners we received information from Iowa State this week about ordering Big 12 Tournament tickets. As a gold level donor we are confined to 4 tickets however I have a total of 10 people going and as a gold level donor we are not guarenteed tickets. If you are not going but would be willing to order tickets I would certainly be interested in buying an additonal six tickets. Please PM if you are interested.

Re: Big 12 Men's Basketball Tournament Tickets

I'm thinking about ordering some myself for myself and have never done it before. However, what I'm confused on is that there is 3 different price levels you can buy tickets for ($195, $330, $350), yet we have no idea even what sections we'd be paying for, much less even if they are uppers or lowers, beings how the sections haven't been allocated yet. Does anyone who has gone to this in the past have any advice for me as to a guess somewhat where the different price levels are located? I don't care the exact section, but even knowing upper guaranteed or lower guaranteed would help.

Re: Big 12 Men's Basketball Tournament Tickets

It is based upon your donation level and points. $350 is for center court lowers but only people in the Director's Level will get those seats. $330 is for any other lower level seat. The exact section will not be known to fans until late February when the tickets are released. $195 is for any upper level seat. FYI...Gold level donors last year were stuck in the uppper level last year.

Re: Big 12 Men's Basketball Tournament Tickets

If you can't actually get tickets thru Iowa State, try other schooles like,TCU,Baylor,WVU etc. They usually do not sell their allotment and for TcU you don't have to be a donor.

Re: Big 12 Men's Basketball Tournament Tickets

We are thinking about just going down Wed. night and buying tickets from the teams that get beat Wed. Anyone ever done this? I haven't been to the Big 12 tourney since it was the Big 8 tourney:(

Edit: of course I am assuming we won't be playing Wed

Re: Big 12 Men's Basketball Tournament Tickets

Not many fans at those Wednesday night games that don't plan on staying for the whole tournament. Most of the fans from Texas Tech, TCU, West Virginia and Texas make that trip with the intent to fly back home on Sunday. If Kansas State were to fall into the bottom 4 this year then that may change.

Re: Big 12 Men's Basketball Tournament Tickets

Sorry to take this off-topic. However, I thought people who read this thread might be able to help me with a related topic.

I already bought two all-session tickets for the NCAA tournament second and third rounds at St. Louis. Is there some sort of "ticket exchange" to use in case we don't go to St. Louis?

P.S. Last year in Austin, I saw lots of people dumping the rest of their all-session tickets after their teams lost in the first round.

I wouldn't dump them at all. If ISU doesn't make it, Kansas would be a good shot at it if they don't continue to tank. But a team like Kansas, Mizzou, Duke, UNC, Kentucky or another blue blood, you would be able to score some cash. Those guys will pay some big bucks. So if ISU doesn't make it, hope KU gets a high seed just for financial satisfaction.

Is there an NCAA ticket exchange where you can sell your tickets and get other tickets so you can go to the location where your team is playing?

No such ticket exchange exists. Best bet is to contact the message board of the local teams. Probably Louisville, Kansas or Michigan State.
